Public School Social Engineering

I work in the public school system as part of my internship, and I’ve noticed the following:

–Play therapy is clearly geared to turning boys into girls and child discipline into an evil. Any aggressive, boyish-type play (having the monster eat the house, or the dolls beat each other up) is construed as “potential abuse in the home” or “potential for violence.” All play figures must be hugging and kissing and making peace at all times, or else it spells Trouble in the Home, which is to be reported to the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). Aggressive play requires further exploration and intervention. Even if the little boy is 5.

–Any report by a parent such as, “I believe in strong discipline for my children,” is a potential call to Child Protective Services. If they are using spanking on their children, a lecture is in order about how corporal punishment “is not a very productive means of discipline. Democratic households are much better for a child’s psyche and self-esteem.” And they wonder where all the conduct disorder and ADHD comes from????

–And the ultimate blow I found out about today: Halloween parties, costumes, and candy have been officiall ybanned from the school. For “safety concerns” (What, does a costume represent a gang symbol? Going as a “black cat” is potentially racist? Who the heck knows). I quote the PA system: “Friday is an instructional day, for academic purposes only. All children must be in uniform, and all candy ust be eaten further from a 1-block radius of the school grounds. Teachers are not to allow parties or discussion of this holiday in their classrooms.” No offense, but WTF???

–Basically, along with ousting masculinity and turning boys into little wimps and girls into the Powerful Ones who will lift their uber-strong “Self Esteem” over those worthless boys (Hence the Girls’ Self-Esteem groups, vs. the Boys Socialization Groups)–the schools also want to turn small children into mini-adults, little socialists who will contribute to the Peace, Love, and Ultimate Boredom of Left Wing Society. AKA, no Halloween fun. No leaving your seat or getting antsy during kindergarten class–You might “disturb” another child. You are expected to sit there as well as any 30 year old at his [nonprofit of course] office desk, working diligently. Inside voices only at recess.

–All affection, comfort, and love directed toward young children must stop. Because as the feminists put it, Sexuality Begins at the Cradle. One of my 4-year-old clients has already been accused of Sexual Harrassment (when he was 2 or 3, I believe). He was pushing a little girl on the slide. Taking a child’s hand when he cries–uh uh. That’s Molesting. It’s a sad, sad world, when I have to worry that I migh lose my job for taking a disabled 5-year-old’s hand today to lead him down the hall.

Once again, children are no longer children: They are mini-adults. They get as much of a say in the house rules as their parents, and spanking them is as bad as spanking your wife or your sibling (Hence the calls to ACS for “discipline.”). They must sit still, concentrate, and be P.C. at all times. Boys may not be boys–They must be little girls. Masculinity is bad, bad, bad. Childhood is bad, bad, bad.

All because The State says so.

To hell with public schools.
