Sharper Image Ionic Breeze Quadra Quackery.
The commercials are ubiquitous, and the pricey units have been found to be ineffective as an air cleaner in the October 2003 edition of Consumer Union, a nonprofit publisher of Consumer Reports.
Sharper Image decided to sue CU and in turn the group filed a motion to strike the lawsuit under California’s Anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation) statute.
I feel sorry for all the people who bought these useless devices, they should’ve checked out Doctor Stephen Barrett’s Quackwatch site and done some diggin’– hey; maybe they could make a nice planter.
