Stoopidity in Illinois
If the Illinois senatorial race isn’t bad enough: a extreme leftist on a pedestal versus a carpet bagger, things are now getting worse. The carpet bagger, Alan Keyes, has just said “I think it has been proven empirically, that concealed carry laws, allowing law-abiding citizens access to concealed carry actually reduces crime.” Last I checked, the gun control and gun rights people used the exact same data to try and prove their points. Thus, nothing has been proven emperically. Additionally, carry and conceal weapon laws, on which Keyes is commenting, is a state issue, not an issue a federal candidate should concern himself with. It’s too bad, I thought Alan Keyes was smarter than that.

Interesting point, I would be all over that but it is indeed a state issue, now that you mention it. He also wants some kind of slavery recompense in the form of tax breaks too. He does seem kinda out there, doesn’t he.
