Communism Lives!
Secretary of State Colin Powell recently canceled his visit to Athens for the Olympic closing ceremony. In the print version of the Chicago Tribune, a picture accompanying the article showed a banner that read “Powell Killer Go Home.” There was also a hammer and sickle on the banner. In many of the Internet slide shows of the protests in NYC against the RNC, hundreds of protesters can be seen with Khmer Rouge like red bandannas covering their faces. The significance of the color red being used should not be lost. Still, in other photographs of anti-RNC, anti-U.S., and anti-War protests, signs can be clearly seen emblazed with the logo of various socialist organizations.
Make no mistake about it, the socialist state may have fallen on November 9, 1989, but socialism is still alive and well. Rarely, if ever, does the main stream media report who it is that is protesting. We must make people aware that the protesters are not simply concerned citizens worried about healthcare and education reform. They are radical ideologists who desire to elminate our free market, capitalist, and democratic way of life.
