What a Sad and Miserable Life You Must Lead.
I followed a link to the Democratic Underground (I refuse to link) from LGF (I think, and you all know where He’s at) that is so filled with abhorrence for both America AND the Iraqis that it demanded a Fisk:

All the media keeps talking about is how happy the Iraqis are, how high turnout was, and how “freedom” has spread to Iraq [he makes it sound like some kind of disease—maybe to him it is]. I had to turn off CNN because they kept focusing on the so-called “voters” and barely mentioned the resistance movements at all [the story isn’t millions voting for the first time in 30 years, it’s all about the resistance… dammit, I want more resistance! Give me my resistance!]. Where are the freedom fighters today? [Most are probably dead, the others soon will be] Are their voices silenced because some American puppets cast a few ballots? [70% of Iraqis are American puppets according to this guy. That, and the fact that the leaders are puppets as well means that Iraq is turning into a happy Puppetland, free from evil puppet hating terrorists… who like killing puppets]

I can’t believe the Iraqis are buying into this “democracy” bullshit [yes, democracy is bullshit, doncha know]. They have to know that the Americans don’t want them to have power, because they know that Bush is in this for the oil, and now that he finally has it he’s not going to let it go [he forgot to mention Halliburton]. This election is a charade [you mean like the one for the Governor of Washington?]. The fact is that the Iraqis have suffered during the past two years more than any people on earth at the hands of the American gestapo [nice Nazi reference, how long did it take him to come up with that biting quip? And didn’t this guy hear of a recent Tsunami and the death toll there?] Maybe they’re afraid and felt they had to vote. That’s the only way I can explain it to myself [yeah that’s right, our soldiers were forcing the Iraqis to vote at gunpoint… snipers protecting the voters my ass].

OR–I just thought of this–maybe they’re smiling because they’re using the Americans own game to defeat them. They’re voting in candidates who they know will widen the resistance, take the fight to the streets, and finally drive the occupying forces out of their country [pure genius! You thought of that just now, all by yourself? Brilliant! Look asshat, I’ve crapped better ideas than that after eating some alphabet soup]. Perhaps they’re smiling because–right under the American’s noses–they’re planting the seeds of a bigger and more effective resistance movement. Wouldn’t that be fitting? Use *’s own tools against them? [That would be, like, totally cool dude, I’m sportin’ wood just thinkin’ about it]

We can only pray that this is the case [you pray? Does your religion involve drinking copious amounts of Kool-Aid?]. Becuase [sic] if it’s not–and if the Iraq vote is seen as a success that spread [sic, again] “freedom”–the world is screwed [excellent use of scare quotes--for this guy “freedom” and “voting” is scary, you see]. Bush’s inaugural speech left little doubt that he has other countries on his list to spread “freedom” to. They will be his next targets, and the world will burn because of it [burn like a torch… a torch shining with the bright light of freedom!].

Let’s hope the resistance got voted in, or if not, they only increase the fight and take down those who betrayed their country today by voting in this fraud election.
[In this sick individual’s mind, those who risk their lives to vote despite death threats from bloodthirsty killers are betrayers, and deserve to be “taken down” by the resistance if the resistance isn’t voted into power. The unbridled hate for everything that this administration is trying to do in Iraq has turned into abject self-parody. I’ve read satire that doesn’t even come close to this vitriolic screed].
