By all means. Ban away – and watch kids do what we all did when they decided to do similar crap in my day – detour to the Stop-and-Rob, and bring it in anyway. Even profit from it. Damned if I didn’t make one hell of a haul trading my cokes off for stuff at lunch.
And thus, when these kids get out of controlled and “safe” environments, they will head staright for the forbidden fruit which had been denied them all these years, and will never have learned lessons in self-control.
Yes, ban away. God knows it’s easier than actually being a parent and raising your children; just turn them over to the damn state.
