Federal Judge Orders ‘Enemy Combatant’ Jose Padilla Charged Or Released

At what point did engaging in warfare against a country get relegated to a criminal matter? When did a legislature have to explicitly approve the military from taking POWs on the battlefield?

This is the problem on the left with this issue. The equate engaging in armed warfare against the state as an offense like murder. It’s not. It never has been. And no country in the history of the world has ever treated it as such. Ever.

Terrorism is no mere criminal act like blowing off fireworks on your back porch. It is an action of war and needs to be treated as such.
