The debate continues…

In the East:
Lawmakers gave final approval Wednesday to a bill that would make Connecticut the second state to offer civil unions to gay couples.

and in the West:

Texas could become the only state to bar gays from becoming foster parents under legislation passed Wednesday by the House.

Perhaps there will be a new Civil War between the New England and the rest of the country. The issue will be gay rights.
