General Westmoreland, RIP.
I always loved him for:
General William Westmoreland agreed that recruiting women for the AVF would change the ethos of the U.S. armed forces. “Maybe you could find one woman in 10,000 who could lead in combat,” he said, “but she would be a freak and we’re not running the military academy for freaks.”
Here’s an article mentioning that quote and discussing women in the military.

Here is a quote from the article:

By 1993, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower Barbara Pope was boasting, “We are in the process of weeding out the white male as norm. We’re about changing the culture.”

      Now replace ‘white male’ with

Jews, or with Catholics, or Blacks, or Hispanics…

      sounds a lot different eh?

The culture has institutionalized full acceptance of war against white males.

While at Kenyon I had the pleasure of hearing Gen. Westmoreland speak and afterwards he came to a coffee to speak with the students. A very interesting man but what I remembered most was a scruffy looking man, definitely not a student, who was hanging around staring at the General. Someone asked the General a question about whether he was worried about some aspect of Reagan’s foreign policy and he said no but he was worried about that guy as he pointed to the scruffy fellow. That got a laugh but I could tell he was a little worried so I said you don’t worry about him and I think he appreciated the fact that I wasn’t going to let that clown get near the General.
