This is utterly ridiculous, to punish these children is beyond belief, while I don’t condone what has happened here, what good will come of these two kids being tried and concvicted? Not only will the stimata of being a convicted sex offender follow both of them for the rest of their lives, the father of the child is effectively barred from having a meaningful relationship with his child (unless specifically approved and watched by govt. agents). Of course he will probably be expected to support this child while not even being a part of its life in any way. Having kids that young is stressful enough, but to throw this on top of it is the height of both ignorace and malice in my humble opinion. Instead of making the problem WORSE, why dont people try to HELP them with this burden? In short, PEOPLE have sex, whether they be minors or adults, some start earlier than others, some later. Some have kids some dont, this is a fact of life, not that I condone pedophilia, but this is an unassalible truth about life. The only thing this court has done is effectively RUIN both these kids lives.

If the boy is younger than the girl, why is the story all about the ‘poor’ girl as victim?
