Arab Rhetoric

Al-Zawahiri issued another windy, pompous statement to prove that he is still alive. While carefully plucking at the heart-strings of the West (I find it intersting to note the similarities between the Islamic and liberal rhetoric. At one point the homosexual activists tried to say that unless homosexuality and its life-style were accepted by this culture, the suicides of young homosexual men caused by the rejection would be on the heads of those who oppose homosexuality. Different causes, same hog-wash.) by saying that American mothers and British wives have only Bush and Blair to blame for the deaths of American and British men, he went on to issue another threat of an attack on the US and to villify Bush once again.
People unfamiliar with Islam can be taken in by this nonsense. The terrorists are losing this war in the battle-fields but more importantly at the ballot boxes. Al-Zawhiri knows this. When Iraqis are killed now, it is by their Islamic “brothers”who have spoken loud and clear 3 times in elections despite the terrorists.
I’ll bet that they won’t kill Jill Carroll either. They will use her cruelly for political leverage but they know that killing an American woman, especially if they do it as they did the Irish-Anglo-woman, would unleash a tide of hatred for all Muslims by Americans both in Iraq and here.
They already blundered in Jordan and lost support.
It is up to Bush to stand firm because this war has many of the characteristics of a poker game.
One of the characteristics of the Islamic culture is the florid, over-blown rhetoric of its leaders. one needs only to think of Saddam Hussein firing shots into the air on the balcony of one of his palaces after one of his grandiose speeches or the utterly silly victory pronouncements of Baghdad Bob even as US tanks were coming over one of the bridges of Baghdad towards him.
Every Islamic leader has been infected with it from Nasser through
Sadat down to Hussein who, by the way, needs a stronger judge to reign him in as he tries to distract attenetion from what he did and still tyrranize the Iraqi people.
As for the Jill Carroll affair, maybe we should let one of the leading feminists go over to Iraqi to negotiate with he terrorists but no, women
demanded “their rights” and now men have to bail them out.
Anyone ever heard of Jessica Lynch?
As for the terrorists, they are the scum at the bottom of the barrel of humanity.
As Vice-President Cheney said wisely, “We don’t negotiate with terrorists. I think the only thing you can do is to destroy them.”
