Vik Rubenfeld writes that the media’s attempts to portray what is happening in Iraq as a civil war seem to be working, according to new poll results. However, it appears that in reality no such civil war exists. And, my fear is that, like Vietnam, we will be driven via political pressure in the US to leave Iraq before it’s safe to do so. I just hope I’m just being overly pessimistic on that point, but if so many people can be successfully brainwashed by our mainstream media, just like they were during Vietnam, history could certainly repeat itself.
