Laura Ingraham on Today Show

On the drive in to work, I was listening to clips of Laura Ingraham’s interview on the Today Show.  Among other things, she called the show to task for never having undertaken to broadcast the show from Iraq.  The most they’ve managed to do is send a correspondent to broadcast from a hotel balcony — no interviews with Iraqis, no interviews with soldiers, no ride-alongs with any of the military divisions.  The only thing that gets reported through the big networks is the drone of attacks, bombings, and rumors of war.

While listening to this, I got to thinking.  What would happen if a morning show scheduled someone like Senator Murtha, and there was a coordinated effort to stack the audience with military folks?  These could be current military on leave, or retired.  If it succeeded, a goodly fraction of any questions from the audience could be pretty tough questions for the Senator.
