Boker Tov Boulder points out that Hamas is starting to whine about funding cuts to the Palestinian Authority by the United States and other nations in response to their victory in the recent PA elections.
The Hamas-led government faced a financial crisis on its first day in office Thursday as Western nations threatened to cut off aid to the Palestinian Authority if the militant group does not soften its stance on Israel.
Hamas leaders said the aid cuts violate the Palestinians’ democratic rights, but Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice declared: “The principle is very clear. We’re not going to fund a Hamas-led government.”
No, sorry guys, cutting funding doesn’t “violate the Palestinians democratic rights”. They still have a right to go and vote for a group of blood-thirsty terrorist scum, just as they did. But, the rest of the world, which has been propping up the Palestinian Authority for years financially, certainly has the right to withold funding to a terrorist organization. The Palestinians can vote for whomever they please, but their actions will have consequences.
