"For those of you who delve into the media-driven and supported cries of “racism,” enough already. Since when is it racist to enforce one’s laws? For anyone to engage in calling an American citizen “racist” because he or she has genuine concerns over the social and economic impact of mass immigration into the country displays a racism all their own, and that racism is one of anti-Americanism."

Ahh, yes. By all means trot out this old saw. Anyone who disagrees with you must be racist and unAmerican.

The US was _founded_ by people who thought unjust laws should be fought. To suggest that a law, by virtue only of it's exsistance, should therefore be supported is to deny the very basis for the American Revolution.

If the law made left-handers illegal tomorrow; the same arguments would apply, and still be wrong. You or I are not "better" in any measurable way by virtue of being born here. Children born to American parents overseas are still Americans.

Our founders were British subjects who saw a goernment trying to make them second-class citizens based on where they were born. We all know the result. Let's not make the same mistke that King George did.

Only duties are conferred by citizenship. The duty to vote; the duty to serve on juries and in the Armed Forces; the duties of public office. Rights are conferred by God to all men. See the Declaration

"If all those disparate groups and organizations of “non-whites” have not figured out what ails the American people most in all this, let me explain it to you: assimilation."

Fine. So when the majority are Hispanics, you too will wave the Mexican flag and learn a new language? Assimilation happens at the end of a helping hand, not the point of a gun. The real problm is that illegals integrate _too_ well; many are as good or better at exploiting the flaws in our social system. Every door or opportunity we want to close to immigrants should be closed to _everyone_.

"And for all my friends over at La Raza, and the “Spanish Council” for this, and the “Mexican Caucus” for that, an old saying comes to mind here: “América: lo ama o sale de él.”

America stands for freedom for ALL people. If you don't like it; there's the door. True American won't make the mistake of Pastor Martin Niemöller, and ignore an afront to the liberty of others. After all, it might be us, next.
