Viva la immigracion ilegal

Here we go again! More massive pro-illegal immigration rallies around the country.Dallas saw hundreds of thousands marching on Sunday in what Dallasnews.com described as “the largest civil rights demonstration in North Texas history.” The only thing wrong with that description is the fact that earlier in the very same sentence it was described as a march for “the rights of illegal immigrants.”

When we talk about civil rights in this country, we’re generally talking about civil rights for citizens, not for unlawful intruders who have no respect for our sovereignty and who abandon their own countries rather than try to improve them. Comparing the situation of illegal aliens to, say, the oppression of black people during segregation and calling it the civil rights movement of the 21st century won’t wash with most Americans.

By the way, here’s an interesting factoid that’s not getting a lot of media coverage: U.S.-born Latinos have a far less favorable view of illegal immigrants than foreign-born Latinos. That must be frustrating for the open borders crowd because there’s one group that can’t be accused of racist xenophobia. But you can bet your bottom dollar/dinero that everyone else who opposes open borders will get the racist designation. It’s just too easy and oh so effective.

Meanwhile, in the People’s Republic of Montgomery County, Md., students can earn required community service credit by attending one of the local Washington area protests. Well, that’s gotta be more exciting for the children than sitting in stifling classrooms listening to their teachers drone on about math, science, English and history. Let ‘em get out in the real world and do some valuable “community service.” Viva la immigracion ilegal! And, hey kids, don’t forget the Che Guevara t-shirts.

Federal and a host of local politicians have not been enforcing the law since it was changed after illegal immigration reform was changed in 1986. They legalized at least 4 million illegal aliens then and have done next to nothing to stop the flow across the border. The only talk now is to legalize at least 12 to 18 million more. Our elected officials in the senate don’t even talk of stopping the illegals, only how many to legalize. Immigrants have made this one of the greatest countries on earth, yet we cannot allow unlimited immigration. The US will become a Spanish speaking nation in another 15 years if our elected officials do not do there job and enforce our current laws. We should not destroy our heritage just so a few law breaking businesses can hire cheap Mexican labor. Don’t let anybody tell you Americans wont do those jobs – that is B.S. there are plenty of Americans doing them now. The difference is that Americans have to be paid a legal wage. The only ones benefiting are a few businesses that are breaking the law. If it cost to much in labor to do a job in agriculture than the job needs to be mechanized. We are not still picking cotton by and we should not be paying illegal Mexicans to pick oranges. This is only enriching our politicians with votes and farmers with cheap hand labor and construction contractors that don’t want to pay proper wages to workers building our houses. The illegals are only benefiting the few business owners that are willing to break our laws and hire them – most honest businesses won’t and don’t hire them. The businesses that are hiring them should be prosecuted, all the department heads at INS need to be fired and don’t reelect our politicians that won’t uphold our laws. all it would take is to start enforcing the current laws and it would quickly become to expensive to hire them and they would go home on their own. Millions of illegals would not risk their life to cross the border for jobs that don’t exist.
