#11 - Try ignoring the truth of a divorce that twice as many women initiate than men initiate. Losing your wife, your kids to a four-day a month “visitation” schedule, 18 years of garnished wages, and more than half of your property, among other things, should keep a man single.

Before you say, “I do”, sit in on family court one Monday morning. It’s free and reservations are not required. Family court defines misandry.

That article is crap, the author is reading too much pop culture.

The one overriding thing that dissuades men from a marriage commitment is the legal reality surrounding it. As a previous commenter has suggested, sitting in on family court would keep a lot of guys single. The way the divorce laws are written in this country is why men shy away from marriage; all the rest is trivial.

This reality combined with the feminist ideology that has infected our culture is a prescription for misery. One possible way through (one that is becoming more popular) is to marry a woman from another culture. See Henry Makow’s online article: “A Long Way to for a Date”.

The report is a tad funny, but absurd. It plays into the who feminist view of men and reads like a comedy central stand up routine performed by a lesbian.
Mruffolo nails it above. If a guy actually fears marriage for the reasons listed in this articale, he isn’t worth having, and he certainly has yet to entertain an original thought.

That’s only the first ten in the list. Even that is enough to make my skin crawl.

Every guy who posted said something worthwhile. The jerk who wrote the article was an air-head.
As for women using their “intuition” (a little point I want to throw in here. The pop-psych culture supposition that say that men do not have intuition. How in hell do you think someone hits a 98 mph fastball or sizes up a business situation? As Yogi Berra wisely stated, “you can’t think and hit at the same time.”.) there is no intuition involved, absolutely none, if the guy who’s picking you up arrives in a 2206 Lamborghini or a 1997 Nissan.
Calculation: earnings, stability, sex-skills, status, play a major part in a woman’s decision about who she is going to marry. The
“falling in love” bit is usually on the male side.
By the way, has anyone else noticed that there are plenty of books about “How To Get A Husband” but damned few about “How To Get A Wife”?
In addition to the social climate created by feminists and the legal judicial morass faced by men who face divorce ther is the complete lack of respect that American women have for men. I have often heard wives publically berate their husbands but rarely have I heard a husband berate his wife publically.
A dear friend of mine recently died. She was 81. She and her her husband immigrated here (legally) in 1956. In the 50 years that I knew them, I heard them have spats, which is only human, but I do not
remember hearing that bithchy, sarcastic attitude that we American men have come to know and love ( and unfortunately tolerate) so well.
Let women start treating men as hhuman beings and taking responsibility for it then we can go on to the other stuff.

What a bunch of crap! This guy is just trying to sell a book. He is attempting to write to both genders not just women. Did anyone else notice that the article didnt say how LONG he had been married? Probably 6 months or so. Let’s check back in about 3 years and see if he still believes the dribble that he writes.

I think most men don’t make it out of journalsm scholl without giving up one of their balls to appease the feminist way of thinking. I think the guy who wrote this article handed over his entire sac.

I agree with the first “comment” on this page, but I think “#11″ should be “#2″ on the list.

“#1″ should be “being accused of being a rapist, child molester, spousal or child abuser in a messy divorce.”

“#3″ should be a court system that favors the woman.

I hate to think what school is teaching our sons.
