I fully support Michael Newdow. Christians around the world claim to have the best morality and ethics yet they only want to uphold the laws when it suits them. That is a double standard, and that's wrong, unethical and immoral.

This is not about Christianity or atheism, it is about laws. I believe Newdow will eventually win his battle because the law is extremely clear, and any mention of god is clearly against the written laws.

This will be won, over time, just like the 26-foot cross that is being removed from public property in San Diego.

[...] About a week ago, I wrote a blog post about atheist Michael Newdow’s latest quest. Newdow, having tried to have “under God” removed from the Pledge of Allegiance, among other things, now wants to have “in God we trust” removed as the national motto, not to mention from money and whatever other government stuff on which that phrase may appear.
I sure wish Newdow would give up his quest to eliminate God and pursue his other battle for equal parenting rights more vigorously. His "under God" pledge apparently being shot down because he "lacked standing" to represent his daughter apparently because he wasn't married to the mother reminds me of the Dred Scott decision.

It may be more of a reflection on what the courts are willing to hear as opposed to what he prefers to pursue however, because the judiciary has a huge vested financial interest in perpetuating the myth that fathers are abusive deadbeats who should pay and pay and pay, then "visit" his children if and only if the mother permits it, while at the same time the ACLU and many judges are anxious to find ways to eliminate God from America.
