This quote says it all
“I have no work in my country so if the soldiers turn me back, I will try again,” said Raul Garduno, a 28-year old Salvadoran.
Raul – this is why we don’t want you.
It’s not our job as a country to be the social welfare program and safety net for your failed government, economy, and country.
Two hundred and some years ago, a bunch of Englishmen decided that life was pretty crappy with the status quo, so they set about changing it, risking, as one put it, their “Lives, Fortunes, and Sacred Honor.” You and your countrymen, evidently, are not of the same mettle – and you don’t DESERVE the benefits they sweated, bled, toiled, and wept for. If you had any cojones – if you were any kind of man – you’d go to “Your” country and try to likewise take charge of it.
Failing that, you could likewise take the other option open to a real man – admit that the problem is beyond your ability to influence, and wash your hands of it. Then you’d be like my own ancestors, who did the same, who came over, waited in line, played by the rules, learned the language, and worked hard with nary a handout. They said “I’m not a Dane anymore- I’m an American.” They said “I’m not a Brit anymore – I’m an American.” They said “I’m not a German anymore – I’m an American.”
They did not refer to their old country as “my country.” They referred to their new country as “my country.” And they changed themselves to fit it – not tried to change it to resemble the same miserable place they left.
When you grow up, and sprout the balls to do the same, come back and talk. But until you are willing to BECOME an American, you’re a stupid bastard for expecting me to welcome you as one.
Step one: Play by the rules. If you can’t respect American laws, it’s obvious you can’t respect America, or the ideals it stands for.
And if that is the case, we don’t want your kind here. We have plenty of that shit here. We call them liberals.
