Stumble It!

I find it conveniently timed when there is ample enough evidence out there from multiple other studies and research groups which have come to the same exact results that men are decidedly not rushing toward the alter…that now there is one study the feminists will point to to say that life really is that good. (Assuming the results are not completely false, as I suspect)
Did anyone else catch the timing of this survey along with the much ballyhoood study claiming that men have a “biological clock” too? As it turns out, this study examined couples who already were having fertility problems (in other words, not a study of the population in general.)
I suspect that the above two surveys/studies are “man bites dog” type stories hoping to cash in on the obsession the press has played with aging spinster stories of late.
” Sixty-six percent of men agreed or strongly agreed with the statement, compared with only 51 percent of women.
For men who said that religion was important in their daily lives, 74 percent agreed that it’s better to get married than be single, compared with 57 percent of women.”
Well something here certainly doesn’t add up. Because last years The State of Our Unions federal marriage study indicated that nearly 25% of men aged 18-50 were flat out completely against marriage. And an additional 23% I believe was classified as having “serious reservations.”
So if 1/4 of men of prime marrying age are flat out against marriage, and nearly another 1/4 have very serious doubts….am I really expected to believe that 66% of us are going to be that quick to jump on the gravy train?
Sorry, I find the federal study’s reports far more plausible in practical reality and my own personal experience. I’ve seen one, count it one marriage among every single person I’ve known over the last 4 years. And he married a woman in another country who did not speak English and is very happy I might add. This survey does not hold water, and I find it even more suspect because of the fact that men were only included recently instead of 20 years ago.

“The world is a tough place and the men understand that if they’re going it alone, it makes for a great cowboy movie, but it doesn’t make for a great life,…â€
———————————————–
Are you kidding? A great cowboy movie IS a great life!
Oh, by the way, it is possible that maybe, just maybe, THEY’RE LYING!!!!
I recommend keeping one word in the back of your head when you read this tripe.
That word is PROPOGANDA.
Know what I mean?
I know a substantial number of prosperous single men age 25 to 50 and not one of them would even consider marrying. Most don’t even like the idea of cohabiting. However, most of the single men I know consider sport sex to be a very viable and fun alternative. Even the middle aged ones.
More propaganda from the Department of Feminism.
While marriage is important to men, because of the feminism of culture and divorce court, many men are postponing marriage forever.
in divoce court, no property rights for unmarried cohabitants in Illinois. The divorce court rejected an argument that Hewitt’s rationale should no longer be applied in light of the number of unmarried cohabitants in the state, observing that it is for the legislature and not the courts to bring about a change of legal status for unmarried cohabitants. (Hewitt v. Hewitt, 77 Ill.2d 49, 394 N.E.2d 1204, 31 Ill.Dec. 827)
Unfortunately, the man still loses the kids to a four day a month visitation (when the woman desires), 18 years of monthly support payments, with the threat of jail when the government botches the Support Report.
I just love this shit. It gets my blood boiling.
What has a survey of opinion got to do with anything? Men are indoctrinated by years of conditioning. All the survey shows is that humans can be conditioned to believe anything.
Then they get married.
I thought that the number of women purchasing their own homes was on the increase. Yeah? well so much for
“The world is a tough place and the men understand that if they’re going it alone, it makes for a great cowboy movie, but it doesn’t make for a great life,…”
I think psychology should be officially declared to be a dangerous cult.
I wonder why this is the first time men were included in this decades old survey by the CDC.
And I disagree with the conclusions. The piece says men are now more likely to favor marriage because women have become more equal and will not depend on men to carry so much of the load.
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Men are not wanting to marry because women have become more like men! I suspect if men were expected to carry more of the load, they would want to marry even more! That’s how men are wired, so please stop trying to make women out of them!
