Avon, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Mary Kay Ash Sponsor Radical Feminist Hate for Fathers Day
Students of corporate responsibility have a useful lesson studying the philanthropic practices of Avon, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Mary Kay Cosmetics. These organizations irresponsibly provide funds to anti-family radical feminist organizations promoting widespread family civil rights violations.
Mary Kay Ash sponsored “Breaking the Silenceâ€, a shifty PBS documentary fabricating an impossible illusion: known male abusers are winning custody of their children in courts of law in order to continue abusing their children or an ex-spouse.
In the resulting uproar, “Breaking the Silence†was slammed by both the CPB and PBS Ombudsmen, and it was quietly withdrawn. PBS is making a forthcoming documentary (at its own expense) which is expected to be reasonably truthful. But Mary Kay Ash continues to promote hate on the front page of its website.
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) provides funding to the entire law enforcement system and legal profession only if a man is arrested or prosecuted. For this reason, it is quite difficult (if not impossible) for men living with violent spouses to find help or legal assistance. This is in spite of the fact that all major studies on domestic and dating [2] violence tell us that women initiate slightly over half of all serious spousal altercations.
As a Fathers’ Day “celebrationâ€, Avon and the Rockefeller Foundation funded a hysterical public lynching of husbands and fathers in New York City, featuring known lesbians, man-haters, and supporters of child sexual predation such as Rosie O’Donnell, Jane Fonda, Eve Ensler, and Marlo Thomas. This is unsurprising coming from the descendants of the Women’s Ku Klux Klan (this is a true historical fact). Consumers should avoid the products of these shady companies as if their children’s futures depended on it.
Avon is spending millions perpetrating misandry in American culture. The Avon Foundation strongly supports VAWA, and has a number of pamphlets and programs promoting knuckle-dragging radical-feminist agitprop.
Corporate public relations advisors have not heard the message yet. Hate based on race or sex (or both with regard to black men) is not an acceptable corporate philosophy. They believe it is reasonable to pretend that all spousal conflict is somehow the man’s fault, when in fact women are responsible for slightly over half of it. They believe that “diversity†and “equality†means citing unscientific feminist “reports†that intentionally leave half of the population outside the statistical sample.
Feminists have succeeded at this game for many years by heaping guilt on males, thus institutionalizing hard bigotry and irrational privilege for women via uncouth identity politics. George F. Will recently opined that liberal black organizations have applied a similar game for years, as unofficially admitted in Shelby Steele’s book “White Guiltâ€.
Reason supports only one conclusion: these corporations are actually sponsoring organized violence against men by projecting women’s violence on the backs of men. They prevent women with alcohol, drug, and other problems from getting well by telling them that it is OK to continue their behavior. In doing so, they destroy multitudes of families every year, leave troubled women in much more trouble than before, and children at great risk for child abuse and neglect at the hands of a drug or alcohol-abusing mother.
For Father’s Day this year, you can give a wonderful gift by calling Avon, Mary Kay, and the Rockefeller Foundation, and asking them why they spent millions destroying fathers for Father’s day instead of giving them the respect they deserve and promoting policies that would give them a fair shake in society the rest of the year.

This is a patently ridiculous charge. I’m not even sure how anyone could take this seriously. Many of the speakers at this event are male and many of them are fathers. Edward Albee, Tariq Ali, Michael Cunningham, Ariel Dorfman, Michael Eric Dyson, Dave Eggers, Nicholas Kristof, and Howard Zinn obviously didn’t think that they were participating in a “hysterical public lynching of husbands and fathers”. Nicholas Kristof is a leading neo-conservative–hardly the type of person who would speak at a rally with “man-haters” and “supporters of child sexual predation”.
These are proud males who are standing up and saying that they are against violence against women. That message if very different from say that women are superior to men.
Frankly I don’t know any feminists who think that women are superior to men–even among my lesbian friends. I have friends who read gender feminist theorists and argue that women are better negotiators, better peace makers, and better at communication, but I have never heard a single one of my feminist friends argue that women are superior to men or that women should try to make themselves superior.

Dear amosbatto,
Sorry, but it is not possible to make VAWA or the VDAY event in New York appear equalitarian simply by pointing out that a few radical feminist men happen to be participating in the event.
I have met many radical feminist men over the years, who usually make their living destroying other men. These men are often lawyers, judges, psychologists, or psychiatrists. One of them, a psychologist, is Warren Farrell — who once was Vice President of New York N.O.W. His job was to always blame the husband for all marital disagreements in the counseling sessions he did. But Warren finally realized what he was doing, could not stand it any more, and ended up leaving the “dark side” to write several best sellers about radical feminism, including “The Myth of Male Power”.
Holding an event that only blames men for domestic violence, and pretends that women are always the victims, is about as sick as holding an event that only blames blacks for crime. Neither is acceptable in America. Ignorance does not make it acceptable either.
The only thing that matters is principles. It is quite clear what V-Day stands for. These are principles that no fair minded human being can buy in to.

David,
I have read a number of critiques of what Christina Hoff-Sommers calls “gender feminism” and I think that they have some validity. I gather from your previous articles, that you don’t have a problem with “equality feminism”, but do have a problem with “gender feminism” (although you seem to object to using the word “feminism”).
A number of progressive men and women have criticized recent trends in feminism. I spent a long time criticizing Gloria Steniem after I heard her speak 2 years ago. Nonethless, I think you mischaracterize what this rally was about.
Reading the website I can’t see how you concluded that it was “an event that only blames men for domestic violence, and pretends that women are always the victims.” Even if some of the speakers do advocate “gender feminism”, that doesn’t mean that they are “man-haters” or “supporters of child sexual predation”. I have listened to a number of feminists talk about violence against women. They usually spend as much time blaming women’s behavior as men’s behavior. They talk about how relationships can lead to violence if the woman has a low self-image or thinks about herself in certain ways. They don’t just blame the men–they are primarily interested in transforming women’s attitudes so they won’t become victims of violence. And they don’t say that women should become violent in turn toward their male partners. They advocate resolution of problems thought mutual respect and negotiation.
There are lots of reasons to disagree with modern feminism, but we don’t have to misrepresent their position to do it.

All,
I can tell when an article hits the target because feminist “spin artists” show up pretending that they are not doing what they are doing. This is the radical feminist style: to pretend equalitariasm in microcosm (as in the comments posted above), while presenting a larger public illusion of innocent female victimhood to expand deeply sexist government programs (as evidenced by the V-Day site).
The fact is simple: The New York V-Day event is not about doing things to reduce “all” domestic violence regardless of the sex of the victim. The event is solely focused on men’s violence against women, in an effort to dirty fathers day. In particular, the political goal of this event is to maintain status quo with regard to VAWA, which ensures that the system only protects victims of abuse when the victim is a woman.
Eve Ensler is a first-degree man hater. Her writings, which are the centerpiece of the New York event, make this perfectly clear for all to see. Anybody who says that a feminist V-Day event is equalitarian is lying.

You are absoutely right on bothe points.
Feminised lackies always surface when it’s too close to the truth. Always introduce their moronic miss-logic to counter an argument that answers some of the blatant anti-male hate generated by them, feminist apologists that we have to endure.Still lying and still theorising that feminism actually has some benefit for someone.
Most of those males have an ulterior motive for siding with the feminazies. How much is the “divorce industry” worth to them. It’s their bread and butter, what do they care how much damage they create and carry out in the name of so-called equal-opportunity(sic)

Excellent article, David Usher.
By focusing scrutiny on those organizations and individuals promoting misandry, you are putting faces and names on some of this nation’s worst human vermin.
In terms of your exchange of posts with “amosbatto”, I concur that your words have struck home with the radical feminists – the “man-haters” who would hide under the guise of another agenda.
Your own words put the matter very articulately:
“I can tell when an article hits the target because feminist “spin artists†show up pretending that they are not doing what they are doing.
This is the radical feminist style: to pretend equalitariasm in microcosm (as in the comments posted above), while presenting a larger public illusion of innocent female victimhood to expand deeply sexist government programs (as evidenced by the V-Day site).”
When the feminazi “spin doctors” show up to attempt damage control, you know that you must be succeeding in your endeavor to educate the public about the ugly realities behind feminists’ ideology of male-hatred.
She could not have paid you a greater compliment to your efforts if she had tried, Dave Usher.

Here is a little test for amosbatto and others who advocate against violendce against woman by supporting court procedures short on due process and long on imposing humiliating restrictions on the (usually male) respondents.
What do you think of the S.C.U.M. Manifesto?

All,
When dealing in social issues, remember that sex of the speaker is of no consequence. Ignore the lips. Watch only what the feet are doing and where they are going. If everyone follows this principle, it quickly becomes apparent that radical feminists are the worst protectors of marriage, family, women, and children; and they won’t be able to fool you with lovely lullabies based on hate of men.
