I got interested in the story of the Bell witch a few years ago when i saw a documentary about this haunting. There is a lot about this but it comes down to a witch that terrorized a family in 1820 Tennesee. The father in the family, John Bell, died.
When I heard that they were making a movie about this I wanted to go. My wife and I both enjoy a good scare. The movie begins during modern times with a girl having a nightmare. The mother comes in and comforts her. Later the mother discovers an old doll and a letter written by the wife of John Bell. Long story short, the witch is the lost innnocence of John Bell’s daughter who is haunting the family because John Bell raped his daughter. John Bell’s wife has a vision of her husband raping her daughter and then she poisons him. The movie ends back in the future with the woman who was reading the letter having the same vision as her ex-husband comes and picks up their daughter. You see her running down the drive way chasing her husband and daughter.
