The H5N1 Bird Flu: Takeover Or Take Cover?
When I compose a piece, I operate on investigation of fact (contacting experts and so forth) and my personal values as a frame of reference. The strength of my argument usually resonates with citizens when the connection to their household is made. Try this one on for size.
My book Transfer Of Wealth is based not on Guns, but on the coming coerced dependency on agencies, with anti-crime policies being a total fraud, as a social engineering device. Pick any agency you like, and you’ll find not only that agencies have done nothing in decades, but they now have specific, sweeping powers most citizens would not have granted them. That was one of the first facts I encountered and, based on my values, probably like yours, I would object. In a word, Whoah!
The anticipated Bird Flu worries me, but what worries me more is the way the United States Agencies will handle it, or, rather, how they will handle us.
In speaking with some experts on the subject, both officials and medical experts, I believe we have reason to be worried more about administration than the bug.
Americans are not stupid, Americans are cooperative, and we’re used for it.
It is our nature to pull together and cooperate, and it is more than possible that, from crisis to crisis, we are used for our cooperative spirit. The coming pandemic – either hoax or reality – is one such example of our being used for our cooperation to our detriment.
And what’s more: to ensure that cooperation — irrespetive of where you come down on the conspiracy theories – agencies have powers we did not grant them.
Nuclear war could be horrific if it should happen, and detonations on U.S. soil could be worse, but what’s even worse than that is the use of force to relocate U.S. Citizens under color of a medical crisis against our protest.
After hearing from some experts, here is my position.
Let’s look at some of those values.
How would you prefer to die; in freedom or in relocation? Stay with me.
What if the Flu is a hoax?
Well, that’s hard to determine. As a sovereign people, we don’t have to prove anything on our side of the argument to be free. The law of the land says we’re free, and when it comes to putting our foot down, we don’t have to prove anything: our suspicions are enough because we say so. That’s the law. Or is it today? Anybody looked lately?
Since we are a nation of laws, laws can be changed to our detriment without our notice or consent. The perception of necessity – real or imagined – would be one device for moving that along with cooperation.
This is where powers not granted comes into play. Suppose officials use force to come for you and you have to go. Think New Orleans: that was no evacuation, it was a relocation. Look at the reactions of the people: ignored, hungry, untreated – it was a superb trial balloon. And what have we done about it on behalf of our fellow citizens? Hell, some people don’t even recognize what happened.
Suppose the Flu is not a hoax?
This is where my findings conflict. Some say that the H5N1 has not mutated to become a threat to humans, so, no problem. Others report that the Flu has been DNA engineered to be deadly and without early signs and symptoms.
Alright. One more question: Does the proposed vaccine work?
What if it does and what if it doesn’t?
You can elect to take the vaccine or refuse it – or can you? More use of force, less respect for personal sovereignty, all in the justification of an anticipated, disastrous pandemic of a horrible way to die.
My answer is that if it’s a hoax, leave me alone to stay in my neighborhood with my neighbors and family. As Yogi Berra said, Include me out.
If it is not a hoax, then go to hell and leave me alone, anyway. I’m a U.S. Citizen.
Why be so stubborn?
Because if the population is going to be decimated by such proportions of the Flu as predicted, then what difference does it make where you die? Either way, the country is going to have its hands full with dead all over the place.
The difference is that I’d rather die a horrible death in my own home than die a horrible death or perhaps even survive in relocation. How do you feel?
Values.
And why such bleak choices, Longenecker?
Because, from the looks of it — with powers we didn’t grant them — we may have little choice but where to go to deal personally with the disease;Â at home or inside the wire. Some of us prefer to meet death bravely with our loved ones, if it is to be so ordained.
What about larger numbers of survivors after we’re gone (if it’s that bad)?
I’d be willing to bet that survivors would prefer at least the freedom of choice so that they may remain in their own homes, too, and possibly survive just as well or even better there, rather than survive in relocation. Just a hunch.
Values. Sovereign choice. Why don’t you let us worry about that, if this bug is going to be so indiscriminating and deadly?Â
If citizens are generally vaccinated, then why the relocation at all? Who’s to be relocated? The refusers or the agreers? Vaccinated citizens or all citizens, vaccinated or not? What’s the point of relocation of those who take the vaccine? It’s supposed to work, isn’t it?
Some predict that the Flu will decimate the United States population by more than 50% no matter what we do in preparedness, including vaccination and including relocation under threat of force.
Alright. So we lose half of our people, anyway, whether vaccinated or not. Thanks a lot. Now think beyond that with me.
What happens to the surviving 50% if they are incarcerated in relocation? How do the ultimately healthy, unaffected survivors get their sovereignty back, once they’ve surrendered it and are now living inside the wire? How do they get their homes back? And when? How about their bank accounts? And when? Personal Property? Jobs? Food? Important papers? Who’s minding the house?
One of the more horrific lessons of New Orleans is that no matter what the justification was, the officials ignored specific court orders to treat citizens as sovereigns.
Are survivors to be released in order to rebuild their communities, and soon? Or do they have any say in how their communities are rebuilt? What needs to be redone, anyway? Why keep the people incarcerated after the bug has passed (and it will pass)?
Four out of five crooks agree: one-sided force works, and five out of six dictators in this hemisphere agree: once you give up your freedom, you don’t get it back.
Three out of four chroniclers agree: necessity is clearly the cover for a great deal of hoaxing over the years. Think Allar (the apple insecticide hoax), SARS (a go-nowhere flu) and others. Google some more.
Saddam Hussein said that America doesn’t have the stomach to fight.
Well, America?
But New Hampshire’s state motto is Live Free Or Die.
Who’s right? Think values. What is more important to you?
Which would be good…Â that is, which would be better for the country?

Good piece John..it has been crazy to wake up each day to a fear related story of how we are all going to die from the flu.
And I wonder just how many people will fight back when they are asked to leave their homes?
The news is so controlled now, it’s hard to see what is coming, but you did present the whole issue as a “clear and present danger” to us all.

Thanks, Joyanna. If it is no hoax, then I’d have to choose as I’ve outlined.
In fact, many would. But there’s one thing to recall, which may not have been in modern history books in school, and for obvious reasons:
When the Japanese surrendered to McArthur and were later interviewed, they were asked why they didn’t attack the U.S. Mainland following their attack on Pearl Harbor;
Their answer was: “Too Many Guns.”
The exact wording was reportedly, “There is a rifle behind every blade of grass.”
Imagine that.
Our Guns are as important to our security as being between two oceans is.
