We’re not in paradise; we live in a messed up world. It is essential, to use force to some degree, on defiant or distracted kids. Permissiveness is societal suicide. However, since the K - PHD education system has been totally taken over by atheists, I would never allow my child, or any other children from families that take their religion seriously, be given the "board of education" in an atheist school. My kids are supposed to be defiant to atheists and ignore what they teach. Does the spanking cause children to end up in S&M? Just because the person enjoying S&M and their psychologist thinks it was caused by spanking in childhood, doesn't mean it's so. Both permissiveness and S&M are nonsense created by psychologists. In about 200 years psychologists will begin to understand the truth about mental processes, in a way that helps people rather than harming them. Then we can begin to pay attention to what they say.
