    Azrael Says:

Of course it’s all Bush’s fault. It’s not like terrorist groups have been attacking us overseas as often as they are able. Anyone remember Bali? Anyone? How about the US embassies in Mombasa and Nairobi? What of the USS Cole?

There have been recorded attacks by Muslim people traced back over 20, almost 30 years against the US in overseas locations.

The truly ironic part is that all of the conflicts that we’ve fought in that same amount of time for the most part have been in defense of one brand of Muslim people or another, typically from another brand of Muslim people.

I can’t believe that these newspeople really think that these guys are true idiots, and not as dangerous as they really are. Of course the ones who carry the bombs are idiots. Of course the ones who rode the boat carrying C-4 running into the Cole were idiots. Only an idiot dies for the cause when it is better to live for it instead.

I can’t believe such a fundamental principle as following the line up is lost on these people. Take tracking down a drug kingpin for instance. The police nail a junkie on the street, who’s obviously an idiot because he’s using drugs. They lean on him to make him reveal who he bought it from. Of course that person is going to be a small -time dealer. He’s small time because he’s either an idiot or doesn’t want to get in too deep. So they nab the small time dealer. Rinse and repeat until eventually you’re able to get at the puppeteers who are safely behind the scenes manipulating all of these idiots into doing their dirty work. And those are the ones who are the real threat. That does not, however, make any of those below them any less of a threat by any stretch of the imagination.

This is just another unadulterated, undeserved attack on Bush. I will qualify by saying that I have my own fair share of problems with how Bush does things. But even though I agree that there are some mistakes in his method, at least he’s doing something about solving the problem. Unlike these sorry SOB’s in the media who are armchair quarterbacking like they could really do so much better. It has always been easier to criticize than to take action.

I used to respect Newsweek a long time ago, but it’s gone and had an aneurism just like most of the rest of the MSM and is basically completely worthless but somehow miraculously not quite dead from it. A damn shame, if you ask me.
