Global Warming A Solution To Drunk Driving, Liver Failure?

America’s liberal media are constantly on the look-out for global warming horror stories with which to frighten the public and to advance the political careers of leftist thugs like Al Gore.

An example is provided in the story below. The San Jose Mercury News, about as leftist a paper as there is, published a report that concludes that global warming could be disastrous for wine producers in California.

What the Mercury News omits, however, is the fact that tens of thousands of lives could be saved by reducing or eliminating the production of intoxicating wines.

With less wine flowing down the throats of the unwashed, DUI driving and destroyed livers would become things of the past.

Billions in legal fees, medical costs and lost production time would be saved every year.

Global warming: Needed to Keep America Sober and productive!

The story:

Global warming could be disastrous for wine producers in California’s Napa and Sonoma valleys. That’s the conclusion of research published today in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Premium grapes such as those grown in Northern California need a consistent climate. When temperatures exceed 95 degrees, the sugars in grapes can break down, said Purdue University researcher Noah Diffenbaugh, according to an Associated Press report.

“Our simulations suggest that the area suitable for the production of premium wine grapes will both contract and shift over the next century,” the researchers concluded, according to the AP.

Which regions in the United States would remain suitable for wine grape production? Parts of coastal California, Oregon, Washington and New England, the researchers said.
