When will the Canadians learn: If you suppress life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, those offended will not allow peace, order, and such is not good government!

“The Supreme Court says the payments should rise as the payer’s income rises.”
Then it must also be true, that as the income falls the payments should fall. But we don’t hear anything about that, do we?
Its true that, in real “families”, kids get a bigger cut when Dad makes more money. But they also get a much smaller cut when Dad loses his job or his income declines. But child support in no way mimics a real “family” situation. It is a false imposition of what the government decides you should pay to your child – regardless of your actual real income. In one case I am aware of, an income of $60,000 was imputed for a jobless man making ZERO income in a very bad job market – simply burying the man and his family in debt.
