If a movie wishes to show us a Dracula tied to the real Dracula and the novel, are we really to imagine Mina would accept the man who - but actually I can barely type the worst of his atrocities. History's Dracula was a monster who did massively terrible, perverse, sick things on an almost unimaginable scale, because he wanted to, and because his position and cruelty kept him long free of punishment. The reason I think it is important, it is an additional small piece of evidence that shows the nonsense of statements hippies make that Islam is a peaceful religion and that Christianity is a peaceful religion. The reality is that it took brutal defenders of the faith like this: “Dracula believed himself to be — and was seen by others as — a Christian patriot, protecting his country and religion from Muslim invaders.” This is the brutal force it took to keep the Muslims out of the Christian lands. This is exactly what it took for seven hundred years of wars and finally the brutal force of the Castilians, to push the Muslims out of Spain and back into Africa. We live in a time now when hippies dishonor these real men who were the only line of defense keeping Europe Christian, men after God’s own heart. Thank you for the work you did on this, to honor this man’s life.
