Bumpersticker of the Day

A man in a yellow Ford Focus had a bumpersticker that read “goveg.com” for a vegetarian website (so far so good. Not too far out there). Next to it, though, was another one that read “Rats Have Rights” with a picture of a rat head next to it.

That’s where I draw the line. Anbody else concur that this is beyond acceptable?

I don’t think it’s unacceptable. Rather rediculous, but not out of the bounds of taste.

An American Spectator article got a chuckle out of how many leftist drivers have “kick Bush out in 04″ or Kerry/Gore stickers. It’s like they voluntarily leave “loser” on their foreheads because they don’t want to admit that their temper tantrum failed. So they say and write more and more rediculous things.

You bet I do. The whacky animal rights activists have more compassion for rats than our children. Some also believe that there is no difference between humans and animals.
As with many liberal arguments, these are so stupid that it’s hard to know where to begin.
One troubling thought is that I have never seen a work of art by an animal, never heard of their burying their dead and never heard them use language or use tools beyond an elementary form but outside of those minor differences we’re both the same.

    Hello Gus,

I think you can agree that the opinion is rather rediculous but the sticker’s statement was quite nebulous. It merely said that rats have rights. Not that they necessarily have equal rights (something the feminists don’t understand very well either.)

Resident aliens have rights, but they don’t have equal rights. Even children have many rights, but not the right to vote or work. You get the idea.
