Dan Rather Gives Alma Mater $2 Million: Baghdad U. Accepts

Dan Rather, the fellow who kept Katie Couric’s chair warm for 30 years but did little else for journalism, has donated two million dollars to his alma mater. Go here

News accounts differ, but sources that would rather not be identified with Rather, indicate that the generous donation was made to Baghdad University in Iraq. Rather allegedly has a BS degree from that institution, and wishes to repay the school for his liberal bias, anti-American brain-washing, and bitter hatred for both American fellows answering to the name of President Bush.

Inside sources also indicate that Rather was weighing whether to donate a large sum to the “Free Saddam Hussein” fund, but decided that Ramsey Clark was doing enough to harm American interests in that matter.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was reportedly miffed by Rather’s gift until learning that Mike Wallace has bequeathed a substantial sum to Tehran University in his will. Ahmadinejad has vowed to use the Wallace fund to erect a sophisticated museum of artifacts, writings, videos, and other scholarly works that will prove once and for all that the Holocaust never happened.

Isn’t CBS a national treasure and a blessing to the American people?
