Women Good, Men Bad?

It’s about time that we probe an assumption that has insidiously worked its way into our culture — the notion that women are the guardians of goodness and grace, while all those male neanderthals are emissaries from the dark side.

I will freely admit that men indulge in a number of vices, those including gluttony, greed, and of course forgetting to put the toilet seat down. Growing up in the halcyon days of the Patriarchy, I was treated to my fair share of ribald humor. But nothing quite prepared me for what I saw a couple weeks ago.

Strolling at the local mall I spotted a young lass, maybe 13 years old. She was sporting a white T-shirt with an unusual picture. The shirt depicted a girl cold-cocking a boy. Above the how-to diagram were etched these words: “How to Drop a Boyfriend.”

For the last decade, we’ve been hearing the mantra, “There’s no excuse for domestic violence.” So how could anyone even think of wearing a shirt like that?

Of course the Lavender Ladies have long scorned traditional notions of feminine virtue. In her book Feminist Morality, Virginia Held haughtily dismisses the ideal of the unselfish, nurturing, and non-aggressive woman as “the whole female stereotype.”

So now we must ask, What happens to common morality when selfishness, aggressiveness, and all-around oafishness are held up as the cultural ideal for newly-liberated women?

I’m not going to dwell on the abortion issue. That’s because no one, not even the most rabid feminist, will claim that baby-killing is a virtuous action. Their excuse is that we must allow abortion so as to not put a crimp on a woman’s lifestyle options.

Let’s agree to put that one in the “selfish” category.

And what about our epidemic of hyper-aggressive females?

Our society is reeling from stories of sexually-assertive school teachers who prey on their male students. We find it incomprehensible that teenage girls would form into gangs and lurk in the alleyways. And research now shows that female-initiated partner violence is more common than the male variety. [www.unh.edu/news/cj_nr/2006/may/em_060519male.cfm?type=n]

Think of Xena the Warrior Princess with premenstrual syndrome.

Which brings me to another one of my favorite T-shirts: “Girls Lie.”

Our society has become inundated with so many feminist prevarications that it has difficulty separating truth from falsehood.

Here goes: the oppressiveness of marriage, the stifling effects of childrearing, the gender wage gap, the epidemic of domestic violence against women, the exclusion of women from medical research, the shortchanging of schoolgirls, the catch-all insensitivity to women’s needs, and much, much more.

Which makes you wonder, How did the Nervous Nellies ever get through college without a Take Back the Night rally to steady themselves?

This is my personal favorite: “Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat.” That insight comes to us by way of HRC.

Now visit any of the radical feminist websites – they seethe with anti-male diatribes and epithets. I’ve seen outright bigotry in my life, but nothing that quite compares with the rants of Andrea Dworkin, Catherine McKinnon, or Kate Millett.

Then there’s the fairness gene – or lack thereof.

Feminists squawk and fuss about “gender equality,” but once men become an endangered species on college campuses, all of a sudden the message shifts to “female empowerment.” When men die five years sooner than women, why does the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services fund Centers for Excellence for the ladies, but not the lads?

And if the women’s libbers want true equality, why aren’t they burning their bras so they can win the “right” to trek over to the post office on their 18th birthday to register for government service?

And now for the dirty little secret – feminists are the most intolerant people on the earth!

Last week the flap was over the Screen Goddess calendar that was adorned with 16 IT vixens. [www.itgoddess.info] Naturally the Champions of Choice became apoplectic. “Girls are often excluded from the possibility of the profession by its cultural maleness,” one woman shrieked.

And remember Larry Summers? He said there was a slight possibility that discrimination was not the reason for the small numbers of female physicists and rocket scientists. Even though he became a serial apologizer, the red-fems tarred and feathered the poor man and sent him packing from his Harvard U. presidency!

There’s a lesson to be learned here: You can never appease a feminist.

Napoleon Bonaparte once observed, “Female virtue has been held in suspicion from the beginning of the world, and ever will be.” That’s why as feminism gains, virtue wanes.

“There’s a lesson to be learned here: You can never appease a feminist.”

Except that the problem is not just the feminists.

    It is everyday “normal” women.

Bring up these issues with any American woman and she will likely look at you with amazement then immediately assume you hate women; or you will get a lot of “yea but….” comments, or you will hear all the feminist-programmed responses. Rarely, if ever, will you find an American woman who will agree with you completely.

Go ahead and try to find one.

    I have.

The real problem isn’t women but the men who allow both the feminists and the average women to get away with their nonsense…As well defend them against the men who are willing to stand up and call it the nonsence that it is…

    You are both correct.

Feminists and their beneficiaries – those women who have developed increasingly greater senses of entitlement can never be appeased.

Even now, with men essentially living in a state of gender apartheid, women are not appeased.

As if that’s not bad enough, between those backwards men still living as if this were the 19th century, who still place women on pedestals simply because they were born with a vagina………..

……. and those often younger men too pussified from a lifetime of feminazi propaganda, or who were raised without a father to even understand men behave when standing up for themselves, quite a few men argue against having equal civil, social, and reproductive rights with women – essentially playing right into the feminazis’ claws.

For once Mr. Pinga both makes sense and speaks truth. Those who know me here also know that I both share that opinion and have posted similar statements in the past. As well I am not, and never have been, a chivilrous traditionalist or a feminist enabler.

The assumption that women are good and men are bad isn’t a “feminist” assumption that has “insidiously worked its way into our culture.” Its an ancient matriarchal assumption. Feminists didn’t invent the phrase, “Men are such BEASTS.” Largely because men tend to be the initiators in sex, they are seen as the crude, vile, lusty gender. Queen Victoria refused to sign a law banning homosexuality until “all references to women are removed.” She declared that lesbianism didn’t exist because women weren’t capable of such things and she would not sign anything that “impugned the honorable tradition of women’s love.”
Even today, traditional preachers tend to direct their fire heavily on vices regarded as more common against men such as promiscuity, drinking, and gambling.

Which goes to prove that the “women good-men bad” mentality (or assumption as you call it) that is constantly paraded to gain women more and more freebies, privileges, and control, including ownership of the family, favortism on the job regarding hiring & promoting, lighter sentences for the same crime, and so on, is a trait common to all women and not just the feminists. It is why women are always victims, and why the the “victim strategy” is commonly the tactic of choice to get women whatever they want. This tactic is common because it works so reliably on men-even when used at the detriment of men.

The problem is not only feminists; it is the mentality of all women.

This “women good-men bad” mentality has been around for a very long time. Once women were given special political rights and influence, it was a simple matter of using this mentality to implement a re-engineered society favoring women and displacing men.The chivalrous traditionalist men went along with this and helped plant the seeds of male oppression we see today in the western world.

The history of the “battle of the sexes” is at least 10,000 years old. I know no one is prepared to hear it but…

There was a time when men hid from sex crazed women. But then those urges came back and they came back to the pack bringing what they had killed and again fed the women only to be sexually abused, again, by them.

It has something to do with natural law. When there is plenty of everything, and there was at the time women insist on staying pregnant all the time. There was no such thing as marriage. Every manle and female that could do sex did with any partner they could find with the female being the spark plug.

The human male sperm comes as a team that closely resembles a football team. Only some of the sperm actually intend to fertilize with all the rest fight for that “right” with the sperm of other males prsesnt in the female’s body. That’s a thing called natural selection, survival of the fittest. Men are not supposed to fight for women as a matter of natural consequence. Their sperm does the fighting to see which male will actually father the baby.

That changed when the female lost her sex appetite. She does that when conditions are not favorable for raising the baby. Thus a halt in population increase during the great depression and the baby boom after WW2 that ended it.

There’s an interesting statement from the Vatican just after the plague that desimated Europe, “the insatiable carlan appetites of women.” How did he know? The confessional of course. With the sudden decrease in population the female becam a sex maniac.

Today’s sex/marriage morality is contrary to natural law but natural law always prevails. What you see is the violent side of natural law that was first described as the battle of the sexes.

Religion attempts to change human nature and thus alter natural law. The grief in the world we see today and especially among fundamentalists Christians and the Muslims is a losing battle to alter natural law. http://www.hoax-buster.org has a look at the world just after she lost her sex drive and became a chattle. Religion reflects the male’s attempt to bring order to an already orderly world, fix that which is not broke.

In my church men’s small group before a Labor Day, I said that men were “cool” and that I appreciate the hard labor to maintain roads, railroads, utilities like telephone service (guys climbing up poles in inclement weather) and gas service (going into man holes under streets).

I received looks of surprise. One guy said, women do the work too. A week later another guy accused me of saying that I “hate” women.

When I asked him if that’s what he heard me say or was that what he thought I felt, he said that is what he heard me say.

Needless to say I’m a member of a different men’s small group.

Mark, I’ve noted for years that most men today brought up in conservative churches have been raised as Christian “Nice Guys”…Where living according to Ephesians 5 (“Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church…”) means that men never stand up to women, never assert authority, or establish limits to acceptable behavior, or disagree with them or tell them that they’re ever wrong…

And you’re right, Denise…Men are easy targets for preachers to hammer, because they won’t react. A preacher who challenges women will have on his hands a bunch of angry and emotional women who threaten lawsuits or else leave that congregation, their compliant husbands following them.
