Tough titty. We are staying in Iraq for who knows how many decades.
Sooner of later , we will lose the Saudi bases entirely . Our troops stationed there have dropped to 500, from 2500.
We need a base in the middle east region, and Iraq is it.
The Iraqis may not see US troops patrolling their streets and countryside any more, but we will not leave the country.
