Sir William Blackstone, the central legal mind the post-1787 U.S. courts looked to for guidance wrote, “The primary and principle objects of the law are RIGHTS and WRONGS.” That’s clear enough. Now the original "system of Law" we started with ,is about right and wrong, it's about justice( as most of us understand justice). In judge Blackstones time, we still had a system of law and the state was the servant. It worked and it worked well. OH sure there were some misccarriages of justice and griveous wrongs done, but not like there is today. We need to go back to a system of law, just like judge Blackstone advocated. Yes we do legislate morality and we always will! Our standard needs to go back to right and wrong. stop giving people Priviledges that resemble rights, but come off the back of others who never wanted that.
