John Kerry: Do homework or “get stuck in Iraq”
Well, the good senator from the commonwealth of Massachusetts, John F. Kerry, is at it again. That’s right. That debonair, wind-surfing uberpatriot and well-known member of a certain “band of brothers” who gave it his all in Vietnam fighting for his country (right before he proceeded to trash every American serviceman there as a war criminal) is once again caving in to his seemingly irresistible urges to say stupid and highly offensive things about Americans in uniform.
The latest came during a campaign event in California for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides. While talking about education, Kerry said this:
“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
There you have it, boys and girls. Either you hit the books and get that homework done or you get shipped off to that illegal, unwinnable war in Iraq with the rest of those dunce cap-wearing losers.
Wow! The injudiciousness of some of Kerry’s statements can be absolutely breathtaking. And just think, two short years ago it was John Kerry, “reporting for duty,” saluting everybody in sight, traipsing around the country with the band of brothers and sharing all those great war stories from his proud time in Vietnam.
Of course, everybody knew then that it was all a crock cooked up for his presidential campaign to enhance his image as a plausible commander-in-chief. Subsequently, the whole thing collapsed like a bad souffle.
One might think he just doesn’t care anymore about trying to project an image that he respects the military, but there have been rumors that he might take another stab at the presidency in ‘08. Suffice it to say, he can pretty much forget about getting the military vote. Hey, maybe he could run as the “education” president this time instead of the “war hero” president.
In the meantime, somebody needs to tell the senator that we have an all-volunteer military now and people don’t just “get stuck in Iraq” because they were academic failures. It’s just one more indication that when it comes to military matters, John Kerry’s mind is still stuck in the Vietnam era and every engagement is a quagmire for illiterate losers.

Oops, maybe the Dems should send him on vacation during election cycles. Or perhaps he is just voicing the Dem concept of the military. I seem to recall 8 years of a president who “Loathed the military”. What else is new? Any wonder why the dems are becoming increasingly irrelavent?

This blunder, will probably cost the Dems the election. It is a result of their attempt to walk the fine line, I support the troops but I don’t support the war, which in reality is impossible. Kerry was intending it as a slam on GWB, he thinks is a moron who didn’t do his homework and got our country stuck in Iraq. For everyone else who hears it, especially the military, it will be taken to mean students who can’t do well in school are dooming themselves to a life in the military with all the other losers, in Iraq.
“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.†– John Kerry and fellow Dems RIP

It is fine to disagree with the war. Thankfully we all live in a country where we can voice our beliefs in public. We can do that because many brave Americans suffered and even died to give us that right. But we always have to support our troops and thank God for them each day.
Kerry’s comments are infuriating! I first heard about them from a friend and couldn’t believe even that elitist idiot would make them. Then I got home and saw the video of the comment and his ridiculous follow-on statement that he didn’t owe anyone an apology.
This shows the total disregard the elitist liberals have for “silly” things like patriotism, chivalry, self-sacrifice, and love of one’s country. They don’t see it because such ideas are completely foreign to them. They only fight for the right of terrorists to make untapped phone calls.
The Dems can try to spin this all they want, but the video clearly shows him telling students to study hard or they will end up in the military. That is what the Dems think of the military and this retired military member is furious. I wonder how an idiot like me earned three degrees. Probably just luck.
Did I mention that I find these comments absolutely disgusting?!!!!!!!!!
Though I am mad at the Republicans for not doing some things we can’t afford to make filthy pigs like Kerry, Pelosi, Reid, and the rest of the pack any more powerful.
Piss off a terrorist and vote Republican. Piss off a terrorist even more and get two other people to vote Republican with you.

The RINO’s absolutely positively do not deserve to win re-election. However, none of us are so evil, dispicable, irresponsible as to deserve a House or Senate controlled by the present Democrat Party.

A Big THANK YOU to John, “I was in Vietnam for 3 months before I wounded myself to get a medal so I could start my political career†Kerry. Perhaps if he had studied hard, did his homework, and made an effort to be smart, he could have gotten his point across to a bunch of teenagers without torpedoing his entire party! Too bad and Ha Ha, you idiot. And I don’t think his excuse is going to get him any sympathy either. †Oh, I was only trying to insult the President of the United Statesâ€. Brilliant!
P.S.
Don’t think you can just stay home and not vote because of Kerry’s buffoonery. Get out there and slam em! Go on the attack! Its time the weak kneed republicans hear it from us that they had better ACT like the majority! Political correctness be damned!

I always thought that men whose wives kept their maiden name must be wimps. John Kerry’s wife kept her ex-husband’s last name. What kind of weakling is he? Maybe I could throw a handful of rice at him and get him another purple heart.
