Hussein Verdict Due Sunday: Impact on U.S. Elections?
President Bush and his GOP colleagues are in a heap of do-do and need a miracle or two before next Tuesday. Without something approximating divine intervention, Washington, D.C. will fall into the hands of America’s most dangerous enemy—AKA, liberals in the Democrat Party.
Republican woes stem primarily from public impatience and opposition to the war in Iraq. However, in an odd twist of irony, events scheduled for this weekend in Baghdad could actually boost GOP chances next Tuesday.
Sometime this Sunday, Saddam Hussein, former president of Iraq, will learn his fate after being on trial for more than one year to adjudicate alleged crimes against humanity. It is widely anticipated that Hussein will be convicted and sentenced to death for barbaric and brutal crimes.
Go here for the story concerning the announcement of Hussein’s verdict.
If Hussein were, in fact, convicted in an Iraqi court by Iraqi judges and prosecutors, instant credibility would be added to the Bush argument and the president’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003.
Bush already deserves enormous credit for the fact that Hussein’s trial is the first time that a Middle East leader has been brought to justice for alleged human rights abuses. A conviction would add to the Bush legacy.
But legacies are for future generations and historians to sort out in the decades to follow. Those of us alive in the here and now need dramatic results before next Tuesday in order to save America.
Unsubstantiated rumors have it that Karl Rove is pulling strings in Baghdad and elsewhere to expedite the Hussein matter so that the killer can be convicted, sentenced, and shot ASAP.
Rove is reportedly working to have the Hussein death penalty completed and the death certificate posted at www.killsaddamandvotegop.iraq/us before the polls close on the East Coast next Tuesday.
And what happens if Hussein is unexpectedly acquitted?
No one knows exactly for sure, but rumor has it that, in such an eventuality, Karl Rove would end up working for Ramsey Clarke as assistant court jester in one of Hussein’s palaces!

Lillpop, you still don’t get it.
It does not matter whether Saddam is hung or goes free.
Iraq is now engaged in a full-fleged Civil War, and the U.S. military is onlt slightly less relevant than the kangeroo courts of the “elected” Iraqui government.
If Saddam is sentenced to death, all hell will breal looose in Iraq.
If Saddam is acquitted, all hell will break loose in Iraq.
America is now caught in a bear trap.
We can either die in the trap, or chew our legs off and escape.
Lillpop… do you propse another chice?

Er… “propose”…
as in a real “choice”?
I was using the grammar that Rummy employs in all his two-finger-typed speeches.

Dadwithgirls:
“Lillpop… do you propse another chice?”
I propose that you move to a school district not run by liberals! Where spelling, not liberal surrender, is taught!
Do it for the girls, dad!
I also propose that Americans vote for the party most likley to fight the war on terror–including the Iraq theater–for keeps and to win!
That would be the GOP, dad, and I urge you to wake up and “get it” with regard to the world we live in.
This is a world that the likes of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi simply do not comprehend. A Democrat congress would boost the interests of the terrorists, not those of America!
Which is why the terrorists have endorsed the Dems–see here http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=52775
Vote GOP, dad..do it for the girls!
