Our Yes And No Election
During the communist control of Russia elections were conducted in which the voters had the choice of voting yes or no for a candidate. The Western media derided this practice as a mockery of democracy but I find little difference between the communist system and the elections that just transpired. We could either vote yes for Bush and the republicans, or vote no. The no vote prevailed, and a new group came in with a message so vacuous that I still don’t know what it is.Â
Â
Some people voted for Bush even though they opposed the war but considered prospective appointments to the Supreme Court more significant. Some voted against Bush even though they supported the war but were incensed over the pork barrel spending that the republicans had adopted. There are so many facets of our lives that the government now controls that no one candidate or party can truly represent out views. Most of the parties conduct business in a similar manner and none of them are making any significant changes.
Â
What we call change is the natural deterioration of society when men lose their influence. Every negative societal condition of 50 years ago has gotten worse. The prison population now exceeds two million, and American boys have been classified as the most violent in the world. Unwed motherhood went from 2% 50 years ago to 33% today. Divorce affects 50% of all marriages and 20% of wives now commit adultery. Environmental deterioration has mushroomed. Substance abuse and gambling have reached epidemic proportions. The number one debilitating illness of the American woman is depression. Men now develop heart conditions in their 30’s and prostate cancer in their 40’s. Increasing numbers of children suffer from obesity and the illnesses that result from it. Academic performance continues its downward spiral.
Â
I don’t recall voting for any of the laws that produced these conditions, or even being asked my opinion. No one asked me about extending daylight savings time next year.
Â
Some will say that these conditions result from the collapse of conservatism. There never was conservatism in this country or in any Western nation. What we call a conservative period is when the breakdown of societal structure moves at a slower pace. Our nation did not become more conservative under Eisenhower, Reagan, and Bush. A non-patriarchal society will see its structure collapse; it will always drift in the liberal direction. Liberal change is enacting laws to do for us what we once were able to better do for ourselves.
Â
How does it feel to live in a society in which you have little control over anything? The feminine principle adapts, accepts, and nurtures conditions; it might complain about them but does not change them. That’s where we are today isn’t it? We send out blogs of complaint, but take no action to make change.
Â
As society degenerates chaos ensues. In order to control the chaos a strong man steps in to gain control of the government and becomes a tyrant. That’s exactly what Plato predicted would happen to a democracy; and he said the time would be at hand when there would be impeachments, judgments, and trails of one another. I guess we’re close now. Caesar is coming.
Â
There is little if anything that can be done at this late date to prevent the arrival of Caesar; however, what can be done is for men of similar understanding to get together and work collectively to protect themselves and their families and loved ones while waiting for the tyranny to self destruct. The time is at hand to stand up and be counted as one who has the courage to make change.

Your final comment resonates with me. Instead of the regular and rather meaningless calls for revolutions and macro action, best we be prepared as men to do what men should do…individually, and in a small way collectively look after ourselves and families.
Small groups exist all over the place in the form of men’s Bible studies, and those should be ready for mutual support.

To conservativation
If Bible study works for you, fine; however, that’s limiting the group. I think men of all faiths, even athiests, who have an understanding of their role in the preservation of the family, tribe and race (human race)need to get together and work collectively. I do beleive in a mass movement, it does not have to take over a government, but it has to be large enough to support and protect its members.
This society has become a raging river of decadence. Most men and families cannot swim out of it alone. They will benefit from the support of like minded people.

I was not limiting or even preferentially mentioning Bible study groups Elder. I was simply stating that in those groups lie a ready made usually like minded “band of brothers” that can already recognize that talk of mutual “protection” and the sustaining of families will not be dismissed as the notion of the kooky fringe like some paramilitary nuts. By coincidence or perhaps there is a better societal explanation, these groups (again, coincidence? but mostly souterm USA) would more likely take the matter seriously and make REAL plans, while elites in (coincidence?) northern and urban areas dismiss this kind of concern as silly.
You are correct re: conservatives slowing the slide into decadence, and presumably one can find a group that, while maybe also simply slowing decadence, one would hope would slow it more or halt and reverse. A groups holding one another accountable is good for men to be a part of, whatever the basis or foundation. I happen to believe Biblical based doctrines are best, but would never exclude the like minded in the type of preservation you mention.
