Six men who would have got say 25 years each, and she gets 1 year, probably out in 3 months. Well, that’s about 1 out of 6 times 25, or less than one percent, of what she should have got, but those of us who aren’t brain dead realize this is actually progress, pathetic as it may be.

Actually the six men would have gotten LIFE under California law, based on what they were charged with. And the judge that sentenced the false accuser implied she may be entitled to house arrest after serving only four months. So effectively, after four months in jail she gets to lounge around the house all day for a year. If her lie had not been exposed by video surveillance, six men would be serving LIFE TERMS in prison.
People, it’s time to acknowledge that when a man is accused of abuse by a woman, the only thing separating him from police handcuffs is the record button.
These six men achieved an impossible task; they actually succeeded in “proving innocence.” The state’s obligation to prove guilt in these cases is fading. Misguided public sentiment for purported female victims is effecting the slow-but-steady decay of civil rights and due process for men. Those men who are falsely accused are being left with few options.
Numbers 3 and 4 seem to be the most viable options, especially #4 whenever trust has decayed or is not yet established. Until there is legal reform in both criminal and family law, men will continue to be expected to put up an affirmative defense to all charges of abuse — especially when the allegations come from women. Men are increasingly becoming vulnerable to the erosion of their civil liberties. Like a frog in a slowly heating pot of water, will we fail to notice the threat to our existence until it is too late?

Anyone who falsely accuses anyone else of rape should be made to do the time the accused would have served if convincted of the crime.

Thanks for the correction John, and the agreement in principle Amy. She should have got six life terms, out after three for good behavior. Too bad we live in a society where the justice system is a joke and a puppet for criminal females, and a police state nightmare for innocent males. But as long as the money is good they don’t seem to mind being reduced to a pathetic laughing stock.
