But, there’s no evidence there’s a god. Believing, without evidence, in god is like believing, without evidence that your car can fly. I don’t understand why people aren’t embarrassed to say they’re irrational enough to believe in god…perhaps because so many others share their irrationality?

I was chased around by Christian children when I was growing up and called “Dirty Jew.” If certain Middle Easterners didn’t have an irrational belief in god, we would be getting to the airport 20 minutes before the plane, and with nobody peering into our luggage and body cavities. And then, a couple of buildings a few blocks from the apartment I lived in not too long ago in New York City would still be standing. And thousands of people who worked in them who did nothing wrong other than be on time to work on 9/11/2001 would still be alive. (A friend’s husband was spared because she had a TV pitch meeting on Friday morning, and he, not she, had to take the kids to school. There are so many stories like this, yet not enough stories like this.)
