I would be interested in reading the text of a model prenup that men should utilize.

This is interesting, the citation of prenups, because so far men have increasingly rejected marriage. Now you are pointing to a legal solution that purports to protect them. I wonder whether there are any stats or figures to back the claim that married people who embraced a particular form of prenup had a lower incidence of divorce, compared to those who didn’t.

Without that kind of crucial information, I wouldn’t pin my hopes to a piece of paper just yet. The marriage strike is doing just fine for now, unless somebody can show a viable alternative that protects husbands and fathers.

The first (or last??) line of defense is in church, and maybe in small communities. Stigma of divorce and prenups are the fastest and really only way to quickly impact the culture.
Prenups can be written that protect the marriage, and done in a way that accomplishes what the covenant marriages attempt to accomplish. These prenups of which I speak have less to do with protecting or awarding assets, as they do making the divorce process harder and making a person unilaterally responsible for the destruction of a family pay a heavy price such that the woman who “no longer feels loved” has gotta reaaly feel it bad bad bad to be willing to experience the negative consequences of busting the contract.
We cant eliminate divorce altogether, nor arguably should we, but just eliminating the willy nilly ones on the margin, mainly those filed by coddled women, would if not lowering the divorce rate, preserve fathers in kids lives and not have dads living in a garage apartment w/ college type furniture while earning over 11K per year.

One very serious problem is the fact that married folks are now in the minority. This battle may be too late (shudder!).

When you speak of traditional family values (i.e. 1 man 1 woman and kids), you are speaking of a dwindling phenom. Because of the attack on traditional families, our numbers are becoming smaller and smaller.

50% of all kids are now growing up in non-traditional families. 37% of kids today are born in to broken families from the get go. This adds up that MOST of the population will no longer live in a “normal, traditional household”. And the liberals and feminists site this with glee!!

Feminism has crushed the world that we grew up in.

I would LOVE to see traditional values become a majority stake holder again, and support any programs that even hint of that. However, it appears, statistically at least, that that force is a smaller and smaller segment of our population. Incredible!

Great analysis Mr Usher. That’s what it looks like from out here too. America, the Leading Country in the Free World, has dropped the ball. The game is knackered. You can explain it, they won’t understand; shout it, they won’t hear; write it, they won’t read. They have bought the honeyed words from the Princess of Lies. They are too busy destroying the world as has been for a new world of drones under State control. They care not who rules as long as the drones work to fill their coffers. They will swap the rule from one manicured hand to the other because they are both on the same demonic body. Who cares about votes. Don’t vote and one party or the other will get in on 5%.

I have this question for you? I have my answer but I want to hear your answer. What is someone concerned about family values or father’s rights to do with his or her vote?

The Republicans don’t care. The domocrats don’t care. What is he or she to do?

By the way, my answer is to vote libertarian. The libertarians are winning some elections and influencing things at least a little.

Bait and switch. They said one thing, did another.
Even Rush Limbaugh is in denial, telling us what a success welfare reform is, while ignoring the reauthorization of VAWA and the total destruction of constitutional guarantees and American freedom that is the Child Support Crusade.
I believe that the reauthorization of VAWA and the way domestic violence truthtellers were told to shut up was the straw that broke the GOP camel’s back.
The reason for this has nothing to do with ideology or even what these Republicans think is best for our country. It cannot be because they obviously know better. The reason is, while they railed against trial lawyers holding negligent corporations and government entities liable for lack of care that brings injury, the GOP “improved” a completely corrupt system of family law that was already the easiest way for an attorney to earn a living.
Why? Because no-fault divorce and rampant gender bias in the family courts means never having to PROVE a damn thing or follow any rule of law when representing the wife-mommy. Having to prove wrongdoing or trying to prevent such being proven is hard work and risky.
And not particularly profitable.
The profit for law offices lies in coercing settlements, or obtaining and enforcing judgments. With no-fault divorce and gender biased family law, we dispense with the due process of law (proving wrongdoing), and go straight to the deprivation of property. We go after the husbands who are usually the breadwinners for the same reason Robin Hood stole from the rich: it is more profitable.
As women know that everything will go their way (and are mighty indignant when it does not!) they have little incentive to make their marriages work.

are two examples of counties whose superior courts are dominated by judges and commissioners who profited off the divorce and family law systems. Just click on the -9- judgments these men and women have under their names as judgment creditors. Awards for attorney’s fees in domestic relations cases folks.
This explains the wall of bigotry we see in our courts against men in divorce, domestic violence, and child support cases.
I strongly suspect that campaign contributions by these interests is a major reason why our Republican office holders and church clergy have been so disappointing.
