A Tale Of Two Presidents: George W. Bush And Hugo Chavez

2006-12-05
By
President George W. Bush is a lame duck with waning support at home and a shattered reputation abroad. Even a sniveling puppet like Nouri Al-Maliki, the Prime Minister of the Green Zone, feels emboldened enough to publicly snub Dubya.

President George W. Bush has learned the hard way that acting like a cowboy, in the global village, leads to disaster. He went to war with his guns blazing “shock and awe”; in his hubris confident that he didn’t need the support of the rest of the world.

Now the weakened and embattled president is seriously considering seeking the support of Iran — one of the members of the “axis of evil.” Asking Iran to help defuse the Iraq conflagration is like asking Oprah Winfrey to keep an eye on your freshly baked cookies to make sure nobody eats them before dinner.

The Bush Administration has ineffectually tried to undermine the rule of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

But Bush’s nemesis has been re-elected in a landslide, capturing a mandate to lead a socialist revolution that challenges America’s nefarious influence in Latin America.

“Today we gave another lesson in dignity to the imperialists, it is another defeat for the empire of Mr Danger,” he (Chavez) roared to the crowd. “It’s another defeat for the devil who tries to dominate the world.”

Quotation from Associated Press

Bush naively thought he could establish a democracy in Iraq –, the first domino in what would one day be a democratic Middle East. God, what an idiot!

American prestige, power and influence in the world has been diminished not only in the Middle East but in Europe and throughout the world.

Hugo Chavez exults as his influence extends throughout Latin America, while Bush sighs while his influence shrinks to the confines of the Oval Office.

Viva Hugo Chavez!

Impeach George W. Bush!

Yes, the President’s party took a beating. But Hugo Chavez is the man you’re saluting today? Check this out:
In Venezuela, petroleum (you know, oil) is one third of the GDP, 80% of export earnings and over half of government operation revenues (transfer payments, food for votes.)

    Per Capita GDP is $6,400

47% of the population lives below the poverty line and unemployment is 12%.

    Inflation is 16%.
If those numbers don’t have you cancelling your flight, consider this:
There are only 3.4 million internet users (out of 26 million.) That’s not many customers for your unique brand of punditry. Of course you’d want to make sure your commentary was fully supportive of Hugo and his favorites. If he turned out to be a Britney Spears fan, you could wind up in a lot of trouble.
Buena suerte en su pais nuevo!

There’s two reasons why Chavez was re-elected.

First, the so-called “Social Reforms”. In that part of the world, being poor means being dirt-poor. In an attempt to became popular, he started some program for the poor, including medical help paid by petro-dollars and the will of Cuba to spare some elite doctors of the ruling class. Since poor people can vote too, he’s litteraly buying the vote. What he din’t say is that he’s also financing other socialist candidates in the neighborhood countries. Right now, he’s trying to build a solid powerbase.

The second reason why Chavez got re-ellected is his use of Uncle Sam as a bogeyman. “Look!” he said, “The evil Americans are over there!”. When you got little or no national pride, the desire of sticking-up to the big player in the area is always interesting. Instead of needing a plan, you just have to say that you need to keep the big guy at bay.

The real question for Chavez will be how long he will be able to maintain his “Petro-Paradise” the day money will stop pouring from his iol wells.

So, I take it Rob will be buying his ticket and packing his bags and joining his hero Hugo in the new “workers paradise” or his just another sniveling leftwing blowhard who won’t put his money where his big mouth is? Please Rob leave the land of the “devil”. I wonder how many of Venezuelas citizens will now start making the trip north?

The point of my essay is not to say that Chavez’ Venezuela is superior to Bush’s America (It’s not)

I’m struck how Chavez (sans an army of spin doctors) has tremendous influence in his backyard, while Bush is impotent at home and a joke abroad.

My editorial is an examination of the divergent fortunes of two world leaders.

So the people of Venezuela voted for the revolution. The revolution has failed, in 100% of the places, in it has been attempted, around the world. It not only has failed, but it has resulted in humanitarian nightmares. It will fail again. It is such a bad idea, nobody can make it work. All the skill of Chavez, and all the optimism in Venezuela, will not make it succeed. Then they will blame the US for the failure; then they will come, with hands extended, guilt tripping the US to help them recover. Then all the capitalists, who flooded out of Venezuela to the US the first time Chavez was elected, will decide they like it better here, and will help the US solve our inability to sustain our population.

It must have been the “Viva Hugo Chavez” line that confused me. You obviously view him as a superior leader then the President of the US. It’s a wonder what spreading oil money around and bribing people can do for you. What happens after he chases all the oil people out of his country with his obsession over the US and George Bush? Will it still be “Viva Hugo Chavez” or will it be as written earlier, blame the US?

Robert, it’s not Bush’s “acting like a cowboy in the global village” that did him in. It’s acting like a “expletive deleted”.

Iraq was easy. We could have been in/out within a year. But our men have their hands tied behind their backs. They have to think twice and thrice before capping a pig for fear of being courtmartialed. Fallujah should have been incinerated. Mosques should have been leveled. Marriage parties should have been decimated. The pigs use these as cover. Of course, I wouldn’t have bothered to try for democracy in the ME. Bush and the Yale beanies are morons, I’ll grant you that.

He then could have used our subs to blow the holy hell (non-nukes) out of N. Korea’s rocket launch pads. And whatever reactors they have, too. Would’ve garnered some respect.

But really, I don’t give a rat’s booty what the rest of the world thinks of America. Bush is an emasculated, emaciated idiot because he told the American people to go to hell with respect to immigration and with respect to the culture wars. He could have used his bully pulpit much more aggressively to denounce gay marriage, to affirm that Islam is a religion of violence and that we should always hold in suspicion Arab-looking people. And then there’s the national debt. And of course it never helped his image appearing on CNN and the like, begging for pats on the head and a “Good boy, Georgie!” or fellatiating Bill “Liar, Murderer, Rapist, Misogynist, Fornicator, Sexual Harrasser, Adulterer” Clinton.

If he had truly acted like a cowboy, he’d have kicked ass and America would be respected. The rest of the world can s my d. We have the bombs. That’s all that matters.

Kicking a**, or shock and awe, works in a conventional war. But no amount of smart bombs can stifle an unholy choas of a civil war/insurgency/criminal gangs running amock.

And neither bombs, pleading or negotiating will ever bring democracy to Iraq.

Conservatives and liberals, indeed anyone with a modicum of common sense, should agree that we should get the heck out of Iraq.

And neither bombs, pleading or negotiating will ever bring democracy to Iraq.

Conservatives and liberals, indeed anyone with a modicum of common sense, should agree that we should get the heck out of Iraq.

I was on a Carnival cruise that stopped in Venezuela. Their is a wide gap between the rich and the poor there. As typical of socialistic countries.

I was told by my tour guide that women out numbered the men 7 to 1 there. He also said that he was on his fourth wife. He dumps them if they so much as anger him. He says that it is very easy to find another one.

There were indeed many beautiful women.

Women more often than not, vote socialistic.

That is why Hugo is president there.

I like that Hugo will call it like he sees it. I also like that his rants get covered by the press. Perhaps his rants will be listened to by America’s sheeple. They’ll listen because our countries schools have mass produced socialists.

Impeach Bush and educate his supporters. I can’t believe that I voted for him for his first term. He lied to us then. He said that he wouldn’t engage in nation building, you know, things like Iraq. I didn’t vote for him the second time and neither did most of America. They just flat out stole that one.

BTW, did you get to vote on whether or not we should use electronic voting machines? Me neither. Why weren’t we asked?

The three i’s – Impeach, Indite and Incarcerate!

Thoughts on the Election Results from a Soldier in Iraq
    Dear Rusty,
I know you probably get a lot of messages asking you to read stuff on your show, but I BEG you to read this……
I would like you to tell America exactly what they did to their soldiers on Tuesday, and what WE think about our countrymen right now. “I hope you are satisfied with what you have done… Today in the mess hall, where there is usually jovial conversation, there was silence, long faces, and broken spirits…
Everyone, to include all American soldiers, marines, sailors, airmen, Iraqi Nationals, Bulgarian Soldiers, etc, etc… was speechless, tired, demoralized and stunned…. all ate in erie silence…..
Last night, while we watched the press conference with the President, there was utter discust, and the common feeling amongst us all that we soldiers are now the loneliest people on Earth…. we fight an enemy over here, and we have a country full of enemies to go home to that are our countrymen. We watched President Bush say his own political funeral, our commander and chief.. as well as ours….. He tried so hard to spin it, but… well.. there is no way to soften such a morale blow.
While you sit and Monday morning quarterback what we work so hard to do for you out here, just know that the spirit of your team is wounded….. YOU liberals, you America have done a great job of demoralizing us… Thank you.
Do us a favor though, when we do come home, spare us the ceremony……. We all now know that it is a bunch of crap, and what you think of us…….
I have to say that right now, I would rather be a (expletive deleted) Frenchman, even though they have no will to fight, at least they have the balls to make a decision and stick with it…… They stuck to thier guns about staying out of this war, even if it was the wrong decision……America on the other hand, goes off half cocked, and when the decision appears to be a hard one, or something that might cost a little bit, they turn tail and run…..
    WHAT A NATION OF(expletive deleted)!!!!
This week I am NOT proud to say that I am an American……….I think it is obvious why… See, we just have told the world that we are not a nation of people who are tough, and will fight for what we believe in… We have told the world that we are a giant coward that will shy away from any difficult challenge…
So, while you eat your cheetos, and sit there and watch your lazy ass get fatter, dumber and happier Joe Citizen.. Just remember this, I, and all my commrades payed a dear price to come this far and have you decide that we should fail…
Realize this, because of your action this week America…. do not expect so many men to be so willing to stand up for your next little whim just to be cut down in the middle of it all…………
Realize this also.. you have just put a heavy price on the heads of us all…… Now that we are branded as cowards, we are an easy target, oh so inviting for the taking……. I swore to protect your children in your beds…. yet you fling the door wide open inspite of me to invite the scourge…. Well…. have it your way then.
Because of this, September 11th will soon be overshadowed by these same enemies.. my advice to you is get your lazy, self centered ass up and make peace with your God, and your family.. cause, time will come when they may not be there for you…………….Because you kicked me in the teeth, and so many others, I know I won’t any more.. ”

The soldiers feel that way because they believe Bush’s lies. If they could see through the propaganda fog and know the truth, they’d come home of their own accord and arrest Bush and his toadies. A nation is not strong because they have the strongest army, a nation is strong when it is morally strong. Don’t believe me? Ask the people of Iraq, ask the people of India and any other country that threw off the yokes of tyranny..ask the people of Vietnam.

If I am asked to hit somebody, I’d ask why? If the answer was a lie, I’d know exactly who to hit.

Soldiers, please come home and protect us from our domestic enemies!

Impeach, Indite and Incarcerate the liers!

BTW, I don’t consider myself a socialist, I am an extreme patriot.
