Where I work we have a predominently female mix of hispanic and white employees. All the females regularly engage in sexual talk, male bashing, and banter, but the males have to just shut up, because the women are ever on the alert to be “offended” by anything a man says. Two guys have already been fired for participating in the sex talk initiated by the women, and “offending” the women.

However, the hispanics rule at my work place. While they continually ridicule the whites (in spanish, usually) without any repercusion, at least one white woman has been let go for “offending” the hispanics (in English).

I have a close friend in Los Angeles, who is of hispanic heritage, and supervises immigrants from south of the boarder. He has been called on the carpet for being a racist because he had the gaul to point out to his coworkers that Mexico brutally protects it’s own southern boarders from “illegals”. This is an American, of mexican heritage, who served his country as a Marine, in Vietnam, and was severely wounded, being threatened with losing his job and livelyhood for just pointing out a fact.

At a former employer, which had quite a few blacks and hispanics, the two groups were continually fighting with each other, and accusing each other of racism. It would have been funny, if not so stupid.

As an old, white man, I just keep my mouth shut…. So much for so called “freedom of speech”… Isn’t this a wonderful liberal utopia we are creating for ourselves!!
