Newt Gingrich For President, Condoleezza Rice For Veep.

2006-12-16
By

I love and admire both Condoleezza Rice and Newt Gingrich. Keep them in sight for 2008.

Dr. Rice is already most experienced in being Secretary of State among other things, and would be a naturally fine ambassador as the Vice-President is often summoned to be and without the constraints of the State Department. It’s also great for her to be next in line for the Presidency over the Speaker Of The House.

Speaking of Speaker of the House, former Speaker Newt Gingrich has spoken on values we all share perhaps much more than some might admit. This is the bridge between the conservatives and the conservative democrats elect. If you’re looking for some de-escalation of partisan animosity, it’s going to come from this ticket but without the compromises of the past.

One of the most important qualifications for this ticket is that each is most good-hearted, but then strong, a superb combination. America needs that superior combination of strength and open-mindedness, but not someone who’s let their brains fall out, and there’s just too much of that in politics.

Case in point: how the republicans lost Congress. Too much etiquette, not enough leadership. Too much cooperation and compromise, and not enough partisanship, and don’t think partisanship is a bad thing; it’s the very reason people are elected. They dropped the ball on that, and how.

One of the best qualities both Condi and Newt share is the boldness of statement the republicans failed to show on a variety of issues – border security, the unreasonableness of much of homeland security, and so much more.

Backing their boldness of statement of values is the experience of action over the years, an excellent resumé. Some people hate them for it, but what is hated by some is admired and expected by others, and in this country at this time, it’s going to be a majority of constituents who are looking for a White House that does the right thing.

For 2008, the secret to the success of conservatives will be the bold statement of values and commitment to America, and some sort of record of carrying them out to the satisfaction of constituents. Rookies need not apply.

After all, it was the lack of it that cost the country Congress.

It’s time to put into the White House a team with the follow-through on good ideas they have enunciated and which have been clearly embraced by citizens. Emphasis on citizens.

Gingrich is bold and articulate, and as a former teacher, he can unwind many of the negative stereotypes of Educators and their stupid policies – you know, the absolute junk put into textbooks as an example of so-called open-mindedness and letting your brains fall out. You’ve read my position of ‘Educators’ who say how right-minded they are at home, but admit that they have a job to do at work which conflicts substantively with those values. I disapprove of this double lifestyle, and I’d like to see a turnaround. Wouldn’t you like that, too?

Here’s your chance. Vote for Gingrich and Rice.

When it comes to second amendment rights and liberty backed by citizen force, I’m much more sure than before how only some officials and not all want to take your liberty by taking away the force which backs your liberties, and that Dr. Rice would fall more into the category of protecting rights rather than bluffing citizens out of them, as some have done over the decades.

Score two planks for this ticket’s platform. (Just as soon as they accept the nomination!)

Both Condi and Newt are more interested in protecting rights than in assuming powers not granted, and this is what this next election is going to be about, no doubt.

These two would be unbeatable on the platform of restoring America.

1. Rights of the Constitution are few, but they are all we need to live in liberty. Living by these restores personal dignity with less expection of government’s being your personal butler.

2. Rights of the Constitution are Creator-given, not given by government. Government’s job is to protect rights – the few, clearly defined ones we have – and not to demagogue and make a living finding rights that aren’t there.

3. The Constitution does not empower government as much as it limits government.

If Dr. Rice and Speaker Newt run on these values, the opposition will be cooked, and for a long time.

President Gingrich and Vice-President Rice could so easily lead Congress into returning sovereignty and authority into the hands of citizens and removing some of those self-appointed powers not granted by the people. Incidentally, it will probably take two terms, and then Condi would be our first woman President.

That scares some people – people who don’t want freedom and others who don’t want them to have it.

But it doesn’t scare liberty enthusiasts to have freedom, because responsibility and liberty mean choice, real choice. It doesn’t scare us for every citizen to have it.

That’s what Newt and Condi are all about.

Freedom for all citizens.

Here’s your chance.

    I second the motion!

Newt vs. Hillary (or whoever) would be the ultimate battle of constitutionalism and ideas against demogogery and bs rhetoric. We’d find out quickly, in one election, if this nation still has the guts to remain a nation. Either way, at least we’d know…

The Repubs won’t pick Gingrich though because they think he’s ripe to be villified for the contract with America, which is in fact why he should be nominated, but they won’t see it that way.

Look for a wishy-washy Repub candidate in ’08 to be put on the chopping block.

And you know, Doug, this is just what I’m talking about: this idea of intimidation on the part of the Republicans on the grounds of etiquette or unseemliness.

    To hell with that idea!

Be Bold! (And that’s cleaning it up a bit!)

Not only state the conservative positions and values boldly, but nominate the right candidates to bring the values back to the people.

This is precisely how they lost Congress.

Some people hate them for it because (in my humble opinion) values include responsibilty and accountability. These two words alone depict the antithesis of the “hip-to-be-an-asshole” crowd that describes (most of)those on the left.

It might seem that we have become the nation of passing the buck and making excuses. But, I think when challenged with the choice for a return to common sense values or the mandates of the HTBAA crowd, many voters would make their voices heard.

As Doug Powers said, “Either way, at least we’d know…” where this country stands.

Stay out of NYC. It’s a dump.

HTBAA is just why I say that Conservatives are adults and Liberals are kids: it explains the double standard: we’re held to adulthood standards and liberals try and get away with whatever they can.

I’m tired of kids running the country.

And I’m tired of adults not.

Newt and Condi would cure this and set the example for the rest to follow, but most of all – it would prove that it’s safe to be Conservative.

In many ways, it always has been. Conservatives in being intimidated have generally surrendered to MSM and others’ slings and arrows.

Get on with it. Sometimes you just have to take that stick out of the hands of the kids and send them to their room.

HTBAA is also Hip-to-be-a-brat, a spoiled, teenage brat.

Let the adults take over. And adults: get the hell into the game.

But the problem with Newt is that he sold us out. The Contract with America was bait and switch. The Welfare Reform Bill of 1996 greatly expanded the bureaucracy and funded the Child Support Crusade. Child support is one of the incentives women have for destroying their marriages. The funding is one additional incentive for wrecking the constitutional rights of the divorced fathers.
The problem with Condi is that she has been saying the STUPIDIST things we’ve heard since becoming Sec of State since Dhimmie Carter was President. She failed to strongly support the free speech and free press rights of the Danish cartoonists when the Muslims had a cow over a few pen and ink drawings of Mohammed.
And she keeps telling us how proud we can be if we can somehow form a Palestinian state.
Just why do we need a Palestinian state? Israel has enough problems as it is! Presently the Palestinians make Nazi Germany look downright reasonable!
Newt and Condi talk the talk. Very good conservative rhetoric. Problem is that what they do once in power is not good old American conservatism, with smaller government and a family law process that respects every party’s constitutional rights.
Newt is an Alvin Toffler Third Way socialist. That is why the 12 years of Republican control of Congress was such a disappointment to those of us who believe in smaller government and a Constitution that is treated like law and not like a list of mere suggestions.

I like Newt and want to believe in him, however, what Roger has said is true, he is a Alvin Toffler follower and that worries me.

We need a candidate that believes in family (Mother & FATHER) as the foundation of a strong society and fight to give the people that make this country what it is back their sovereign rights – the rights that are slowly being eroded away. We seem to be living in a time when right is wrong and up is down.

I do not believe anyone has stepped forward yet that can fill these shoes, but on the bright side we have two years for them to do so.

    You’re both right.

I wrote about this issue in both of my books, Battling Potomoac Fever To Recapture Our Homes (2004) and Transfer Of Wealth (2006).

I also emphasize it in my urgings for the Nationwide Stand Your Ground Movement, which I mention in Part II of this topic which I’m uploading today.
