Do I have a target on my back? Are we being ’silenced’?

By Teri Stoddard

I’m going to get a little personal today. Instead of writing about other people in the Fathers’, Men’s, Shared Parenting, Equal Parenting or Family Law Reform Movements, I’m going to share my own thoughts. Something has come to my attention, and it has me feeling unsettled.

I’ve been notified that most of my 50 edits in the last 18 months to wikipedia were “inappropriate.” I’m wondering if this person thinks the link I added is a for-profit site, which it isn’t. My website provides resources for free.

What concerns me most is that this could be happening for political reasons. Why, of all the millions of users, was I picked out? Could it be because I also promote family law reform, mens and fathers rights and shared parenting on my other sites?

Not only have my links been removed, but my articles too. I haven’t been able to find any of my additions. I think I’ve been wiped clean from wikipedia. I’ve been reporting on the fathers movement for 4 years…I think what I have to say is valuable.

In going back to the subjects where I’d left links I see new changes. For instance, under Fathers Rights, it now ends in negative dialogue about the fathers movement. They even took one quote Glenn Sacks did that was negative and added it. Where are the positive quotes by people actually in the movement? This article is now extremely biased against the fathers’ movement.

What about freedom of speech?  Don’t they have a policy of being neutral?

I find this all very scary. I have also recently been blacklisted by AOL and Comcast as a spammer…for a website that NEVER emails anyone. Am I being targeted? Are the powers that be this powerful?

I'm a sun and nature loving, 50-something, laid back, forward thinking, liberal anti-feminist egalitarian, san francisco bay area native, single mom of 4 and yia yia to 2. I've been active in the equal parenting movement since 2002. Known as the purple Queen of Equality, I once blogged as the Feminist4Fathers. Find me now on sharedparentingworks.org and jugsforjustice.org. | More from Teri Stoddard

Not being as prominate as yourself, I have had the same things happen as well. Blogs and forums erased without any reason or comment. Surprisingly one forum re-appeared after 6 months absense. Realy unnerving.

I would say the feminazy are at it again with their usual load of manginas to help.

They wanted to erase the MGTOW section as well, do not know whether that did or not.

But these threats and actions are ongoing.

There is no doubt at all that your straight reporting is unpopular, Teri. Unpopular like the Truth is in many quarters. The Princess of Lies brooks no opposition without her rage being heard. It is a hurdle that we must all help you overcome.

I will write a strong email to the people who run Wikipedia. I hope others do too; polite but firm. I will use the facts you mention; the 50 posts that were deemed ‘inappropriate’; the link which is a not-for-profit; the fact that you speak up for so many who are dispossesed and unjustly treated.

I am sure that these censors will ignore my pleas on your behalf. I am also sure that they will start to take notice when the tenth message arrives from someone else, and prick up their ears when the hundreth arrives. With the thousandth they may review their decision.

It will take that many I am sure. But we are behind you Teri. Many, many of us.

Teri should know since she’s pretty good herself at removing other people’s postings various places when they challenge or `threaten’ her particular sect or faction in the `movement.’

Anything I ever put up on Wiki on child support, statutory reform, or constitutionalizing family law has long since disappeared: I don’t really know but based on past experience I’d rate Teri as likely a suspect as anyone.

In general it’s equally or more likely that this sort of suppression of information comes from our `friends’ as from the “feminazis.” And it’s not completely unknown on MND, either.

    Hello,

I occasionally write local “Craig’s List” articles critical of feminists and VAWA and my posts are immediately removed by “flaggers” that deem the material inappropriate. My posts are well thought out, polite, substantial and relevant. It is censorship pure and simple. Anything critical of feminists are routinely and immediately removed by a few individuals who disagree with my views.

    Don’t give up.

    Spence(wls1),

I’ve been accused of many things I did not do, so this is no surprise to me.

Intentionally causing mistrust among movement participants is something the opposition would do. I’m sad to see it.

Teri, I love you, don’t change a thing!
I myself have experienced a “chilling” of my exercise of my right to free speech.
Marc Rudov, both in the comments and through off-list e-mails to me, has told me that he does not want any mention of the Antipeonage Act or the Peonage Law in any comments posted to his articles.
As part of this, he allowed one of my comments to remain, but he edited our several sentences that did not contain any of the Seven Words or otherwise disrespectful commentary. He edited the phrases “alimony peonage” and “child support peonage” to “alimony” and “child support”.
    You get the picture.
    You can go to
    http://www.antipeonage.0catch.com.justicefiles.htm
and read an e-mail sent to the Division of Child Support intranet.
The good news is that because of all of the censoring of any material mentioning peonage in the same sentence as child support or alimony, you run “Antipeonage Act” on http://www.dogpile.com you will find numerous webpages that are either part of my Antipeonage Act website, or they lead back to it!
The beautiful thing about the Internet, Teri, is that whenever some outfit like Craig’s List or Wikipedia tries to censor you, people will find another way to listen to your song and to retransmit it!
As long as you maintain your own place on the Internet.
For that I am thankful to Hosting Solutions for holding up their end of the bargain. We can only imagine the pressure applied to them by our support enforcers.

Roger, you should know that MND permits limited use of HTML in your comments postings. You can use bold, italic, and even hyperlinks. All these long, drawn out URLs are making my head spin. I say take a 5 minute course in HTML and learn how to do these things (if you don’t already, although I suspect that you do since you have a Web site).

P.S. — I love Wikipedia, but nothing is a better substitute for Web space that you control. It’s always best to have your own site, in addition to Wikipedia.

Those who post or write with a victim mentality without any proof that they are victims will always be censored.

Those, like Roger Knight, who are promoting ridiculous theories, will also be censored.

Those who engage in self promotion will also be censored.

Wikpieida is designed to provide factual information – not agendas.

Those who engage in writing about fathers rights fail to recognize the basic fact that there are two sides to every story and that often the one that claims to be a victim has systematically tried to make someone else a victim.

  13. 13
    Roger Knight Says:

Actually, FamilyLawyer, I cannot confirm your theory because I have yet to attempt to post anything on Wikipedia.
How are you coming on your treatise showing how the Antipeonage Act does not prohibit enslavement to pay child support or alimony?
We have yet to see it.

    DaPoet Says:

FamilyLawyer or should I say home wrecker because in reality as a family lawyer that is what you do for a living…A few years ago I watched my youngest brother lose his fight for custody of his son (at that time he had custody but his mother wanted him back) because his own family lawyer failed to tell him the truth…Instead she encouraged my brother to waste a lot of time, money and effort for what I tried to tell him was a lost cause…In the end my brother was finely forced to take my advice and give up all of his parental rights to his children in order to keep from being financially destroyed…Later he told me that what finely made him realize that I was right was when his own daughter told him to his face that she was willing to go before a judge and outright lie by claiming that he had hit her when he never did…

Unfortunately in this day and age anyone who dares to stand up and expose the lies of the feminists, civil rights movement, NAACP, religious right, conservatives, liberals, lawyer’s, judges, prosecutors, the medical profession and those in law enforcement who know better but like the cowards they are perfer to uphold a corrupt system will be censored…
