Personally, I hope he gets well and truly ripped off. This will be the only way anyone will sit up and take notice of how bad it really is, especially the privileged that seem to be protected by expensive lawyers.

Look at all the effort Geldof made when he got screwed.
He turned into an MRA champion.

I hope she does NOT get anything! Women should know that getting married and divorce is not a “get rich quick” scheme. That is obviously what some of them think, dang gold-diggers!

I’m pretty sure there was no pre-nup.

I predict she’ll get at least half of his property — about $250 million — even though she had virtually nothing to do with its acquisition or creation. Plus she’ll get about $2 million a month in “child support”.

While I don’t like seeing another man getting screwed like this, on the up side I think that the more celebrity men who end up getting these kinds of “standard” divorce settlements, the more that men’s rights will become an issue in the mainstream public sphere. Raising awareness of how unfair traditional divorce settlements are is one small step on the road to changing the system.

The wealthy like McCartney may get a better deal in the divorce court racket. It is similar to Kobe Bryant and the rich kids at Duke. They have the financial and political resources to actually fight back against the system and win. I hope Paul also had the good forethought to protect his financial assets against the possibility (probability)of divorce before he went into his May/December marriage. He couldn’t have been so naive as to believe it would last.

The family judge will do what they desire that is against the man. Great Britain’s divorce courts are worse than America’s divorce courts, but not by much.

There is the decisions of 1) child physical custody, 2) “joint” custody, 3) assets distribution, 4) liability distribution (each handled separately except mortgage), 5) child support (18 years of part of his current income), and 6) maintenance (alimony).

There are too many issues and too many government employees and agencies with resources for a man to fight and win (even a former Beatle).

Bravo. If this is the case, then there is no merit to any claim of divided assets. But… sadly, the bandit will probably get alimony (doncha know, lifestyle to which one has become accustomed.)

I say the judge should give her the PT cruiser in a big red bow.
