Cartoon Penis Encourages Men To Get Tested For Syphilis

Women often complain that men think with their sexual organs. Now there’s proof that if men don’t think with their genitals – they at least listen to what a penis has to say.

From the Associated Press:

An advertising campaign featuring cartoon characters shaped like male genitalia encouraged more men to get tested for syphilis in San Francisco, according to a new study.

It was clever of the advertising campaign to use a penis as a spokesperson, a talking vagina would have been a dismal failure. Go to any performance of The Vagina Monologues, and the audience will be 90% female.

A guy is deliriously happy when a female finally shuts up and becomes romantic. Imagine his horror if her vagina begins to talk: “Come on don’t be a dick, caress my hair while we make love.”  “Just tell me when you’re finished.”

The horror, the horror…

From the Associated Press:

In the neighborhoods where the Health Penis ads ran on billboards and bus shelters, men who saw the comic strips were most likely to have been tested for the sexually transmitted disease, according to researchers from the city’s Department of Public Health.

Of course the ads were effective, guys treasure their private parts above everything else, and they never met a cartoon that didn’t grab their attention.

The Health Penis ads may not be in the best of taste, but you can’t argue with success.

Well, if it works, it works! It is a little bit strange, penis cartoons…They could really take advantage of this information!
At this moment, I am thinking, “is this dream? Am I going to wake up and find that this is my imagination, there really no penis ads?”.

PC at work: a Christmas tree must go because it could offend, even though 96% of Americans celebrate Christmas. We can’t enforce the border laws because it might offend even though 90% of Americans want it done.

…but no matter how many are offended, 90% or more, no matter, gay penises will be waved in your face. Its basically more gay rape from the gay rapists. I love their justification that since (sexual slur deleted)in the Castro district of SF took to these cartoons, they must now go up in preschools everywhere.

So again we have another case that shows that PC is not about offending people, its about killing America. Destroying the men here and ultimately killing anyone who might resist. Its a straight up communist attack.

That quite a leap, nobody is advocating that these controversial billboards go up in preschools.

KVolz, you are right it’s a strange ad. But it works, it really pricks the conscience and makes those guys get tested.

I am trying to picture what it would be like if they had similar penis ads in my town, Lynchburg?! LOL, I can just picture them on the busses, and in public! I wonder what Fallwell’s reaction would be? LOL!

Spider-silk. Not every method of communication is good, even if it seems at first sight effective.

What is good will be thought bad, and what is bad will be thought good. Predicted thousands of years ago.

Right. Let’s believe a “Public Health” department that was far more interested in destigmatizing aids than in saving lives. They claimed it wasn’t a gay disease. Their commercials showed heterosexual people exclusively. They said everyone was at risk, instead of targeting the people who were dying. The so-called “explosion in heterosexual aids” never happened, and now gay deaths are rapidly rising again. And to this day, twenty-five years since aids appeared, they still won’t even nail down the disease parameters. Sure, Robbie, let’s listen to them.

Government sponsored advertising programs are always deemed as achieving a positive. Regardless of how tasteless or biased it is.
This is another attempt to project the penis onto the media as they have been trying that for years.

I am rather suprised to see that women apparently do not suffer from those type of diseases as usual.

I would imagine that women are usually better at keeping up with their check-ups. That is probably why they had to target the men, and not the women. The men in my life are not too keen on going to the doctors, and the woman I know are more likely to keep up with their gyno appts, and they are more likely to try and convince the men to go to the doctors, too.
