Thanks Gonz and the rest.

I had no idea “empowerment” was such a hot-button word. I meant it so innocently, and it wasn’t even about women’s relationships to men. I just meant it in a general way. The writer has based her career on empowering women, and that can mean many things. That’s what I was supporting.

I’m happy to say you’re wrong about the other women in the movement, Gonz. I’ve only come across one who I consider a liability. There are many women fighting just as hard as I am on family law reform. I wish you guys could see that.

It saddens me whenever I see you guys generalizing about women. It’s what the women do about you. You all deserve better.

I would tend to envision a truly “traditionalist” woman as being one who is NOT of the “cake and eat it too” variety. However, that may just be nitpicking. There is a large absolute number of them out there, but in percentages, it’s not that much.

I’m glad you posted this defense of Teri, as I agree she was taking some entirely unnecessary flak over there. Women can be perfectly well “empowered” (in a more original sense of the word) without taking anything away from the man, as long as he lives his part correctly, too. In fact, in a “traditional” relationship, the two would reinforce each other, and both would be better off than without. It’s really too bad for both men and women that the radical feminists have hijacked the whole system, because too many on both sides of the fence don’t even know what they are missing out on.

I’m not sure about a lot of soi disant “traditionalist” women – many of them are of the “cake and eat it too” variety. There is a certain give and take which goes along with traditionalist roles, and far too many like the take part, but balk when it comes to the give part. The claiming of the title of “Traditionalist Woman” is easy to do, but hard to live.

I’m surprised you haven’t been called “mangina” or a “vaginized male” yet. You probably will.

You are correct there are plenty of good women out there and some of them are quite vocal. Ann Coulter has taken a lot shots at VAWA, and feminists (professional victims). For that she has been both verbally and physically assaulted by the Left.

Laura Ingraham also falls into this category, as does Dr. Laura Schlessinger.

There are a lot of traditionalist women out there.

So many posters don’t get this. There are lots of good women (i.e. REAL women) out there. But they’re like good men – you don’t often hear them because they’re too busy building lives for themselves and their families. Whiny womyn have lots of spare time to scream and feel “disrespected”. These women have no clue what the word “respect” really means. Nothing about them is worth respect.

Concur.

Men and women who respect Truth need to be together to counter the myn and womyn who hate it. Rubbishing good women is crazy. There are some hanging around the MRM who, frankly, we can do without. There are women, good women, who work danm hard in the MRM and deserve our respect.
