Corrupt North Carolina Prosecutor Mike Nifong has finally asked to be recused from the Bogus Duke Rape Case.
And it is about bloody time.
No other comment. Seriously. I am doing my happy-dance.
Well, I am actually editing this more as I post. Just had to be the first to give the grand news.
To call this case a debacle is to give it high praise indeed. From its inception it was tragically flawed. Stories have been changed more times than one can count. Prosecutorial misconduct of such proportions that Mr. Nifong is facing unprecedented sanctions. Vapor evidence. Harassment of witnesses for the defense. Charges despite unshakeable alibis. A witness with previous false allegations, and morals such as would make an alley cat in heat look like Mother Teresa.
This has been such a joke even that bastion of political correctness, Duke University, is backpedalling as fast as it can.
Mark my words - the days are soon that all charges will be dropped and this wretched miscarriage of justice will be rectified. Well, at least until the lawsuits end.
And Crystal Gail Magnum will go down as the poster-girl for false allegations. Folks, this is the gift that keeps on giving. We can now add “Magnummed” to the lexicon, describing a man hit by a specious and spurious charge of some sexual nature. The high profile nature of this case is such that we might actually see a few prosecutors do something unheard of when some sob story gets told to them. Like, maybe, search for some actual evidence, eh wot?

I do note, however, that a several hour meeting between Nifong and Crystal Gail Magnum occurred yesterday.
Perhaps he was stunned by yet more changes to her story and then asked to be removed.

Understand, Nifong isn’t concerned with the proper conduct of the case going forward. Rather, he’s trying to find a way to dump it without having to face the political fallout with the people of Durham. To drop the case now, he’d have to admit to the people of Durham that the case was bogus from the start, and worse, he’d be forced to prosecute HER for filing a false report, lest he face major civil liability himself. That would doom him politically, and guarantee that he would be unemployable as an attorney.
So it’s no surprise that he wants someone else to take over, so he can maintain the political illusion that he was only serving the interests of the people of Durham. I say, since he stuck his neck out so willingly, let him dangle in the breeze for as long as possible.

Ordinarily, a rape prosecution is as easy as a field goal from the two yard line with the ball centered in front of the goal posts.
Nifong caught the bad hike sent by Crystal Gail and the politically correct team. But the lower point of the damn ball would not dig itself into the turf! Going every which way but loose! With his case collapsing like the Dallas kicking team line, Nifong tried to run for it!
He was caught and tackled by the revelations of hidden DNA results and that he pursued a case he KNEW was not supported by the forensic evidence!

The 88 college professors should be prosecuted and sacked.
Magnum should be prosecuted and jailed.
The President of the University should be prosecuted.
The Mayor should be sacked.
The Police Chief should be sacked.
The boys should be paid damages and reinstated.
The Coach should be paid damages and reinstated.
Anything less would be a travesty of justice.

How can we get back to a judiciary based on guilt, innocence, and fundamental liberty when they’re afraid to talk about how it’s now based on race and gender? After all, that’s the purpose of political correctness, to make it unpopular to speak the truth, to promote racism (aginst whites) and sexism (against males), and to put limits on alleged freedoms starting with free speech.
If it takes a high-profile case with PC gone wild to get them unafraid to speak the truth, then it’s worth it, and in the end the lot of those involved in this case will have done the country a huge favor, even including the queen of false allegations, Crystal Gail Magnum.

Even if the case completely falls apart, he can walk away from it with no fallout, merely claiming he tried to help a woman who had a rough upbringing and found herself in a bad situation.
This case is a big winner for racial hucksters, liberal lawyers and for Nifong himself. Nobody in Nifong’s position would continue with a case which would hurt himself professionally. Nifong will win big with this case; maybe not the case itself, but he will keep his job, his pension and possibly land a million-dollar book deal.
