Conservative 101. Conservative Candidates Had Better Get Their Act Together.

And fast!

I’m hearing in media from Democrat candidates who are announcing their runs for President. What bothers me is their determination over their sense of service. It’s a giveaway of more of that Me, Me, Me - it’s all about Me syndrome.

And I’m hearing on talkradio various analyses of why the Republicans lost Congress. They’re all missing the point.

Yes, it’s the border, yes, it’s crime, and yes, it’s about the War – it’s about a lot of things, but the real reason they lost Congress – the real reason we all lost Congress – is because they forgot their hands at the end of their wrists to find their backbone.

Where in the hell are your guts?

Put your hands on your back and locate your spine. Quit expecting liberals to be rational and honest in fair play and integrity, and quit dealing in etiquette and protocols. Stop letting liberal bullies eat our lunch.

Lincoln said that the courage of one man stiffens the spines of other men.

No kidding! This isn’t a question of political aggression, it’s a question of political self-defense.

My recommendations to any conservatives running for public office are these:

1. Find your values and articulate them boldly. Run for office on platforms you can state boldly or don’t bother to run. I‘d rather deal with doublecrossers already in office than be doublecrossed by my own party.

Don’t be foolish and cocky, but be brave and show that you can work without supervision. One of those values is to enter office on Day One with the values that leadership is not going your own way, but to resonate with the values of those who elected you and working for those without compromise. Can you do that?

2. Don’t be vague. This means not to be wishy-washy or even-handed. That’s for wimps and captives with the Stockholm Syndrome.

[The Stockholm Syndrome is a defense mechanism (a reality distortion device) where identification blots out the unbearable or traumatic, and the victim, who perceives himself to be a captive, cooperates in extremis. It is a survival tactic of the psychic apparatus, and not necessarily for personal safety.] Stockholm syndrome applies to Republicans and others only if they actually perceive themselves captive. Well, get uncaptive and quit surrendering to liberals as if it’s going to do any good. It won’t.

3. Be partisan. It’s alright to be partisan. You’re hired to be partisan. Stick to your oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, damnit. And don’t deal with representatives who depart from their own oath. This means to knock off the stupid ideas of cooperating with liberals. You aren’t elected to agree or compromise with unwise values, you’re hired to oppose them and stand up for our values.

[You ought to know by now that you can’t trust liberals even to know themselves and their true motives when it’s so simple: they hate this country because our icons of freedom irk them and provoke anxieties of old, and they erect their own reality-distortion devices to cope with demons. The political arena is not the place to soothe old wounds and personally settle old scores as therapeutic. The couch is that venue to chase away demons.]

4. It’s important to understand who runs the nation, and it’s not Congress. It’s us. At least, that’s the idea. Public servants who genuinely serve operate at the instructions of their constituents as executives, not on their own as ruling princes or princesses. America doesn’t have Royalty. America is about citizen supremacy, which trumps official leadership. We employ public servants to protect that sovereignty. You have no latitude to do otherwise.

5. Sovereignty of the citizen must be restored. At this time, it has been threatened and is on the verge of being entirely dissolved. We won’t survive as a nation without partisan conservatism.

So now is the time to examine candidates for 2008. RINO’s need not apply.

All pro-family Americans must register to vote and vote. A vote for your conservative candidate is a vote for your family. And for their children and theirs.

Our rights are few, but all we need to be free. You can’t be free with demagogues finding new rights that aren’t put there. The Constitution puts limits on government, and that, also, is all we need.

Even-handedness and compromise are a trap.

Now is the time to start thinking about what we are really all about and to hire executives who will protect our few rights, and by all means, limit their own powers and work proactively to reverse those powers we did not grant.

If you’re still interested in our terms, this is why you will be sent to Washington.

Or not.
