BREAKING NEWS
In their latest assault on the opposition, CIO agents of the Mugabe regime have, this morning, carried out another attack inflicting serious injuries on their victim. This time, it is Morgan Tsvangirai’s spokeman, Nelson Chamisa who has been assaulted. Nelson Chaimisa was attacked at Harare airport as he was leaving Zimbabwe on a parliamentary trip. He is currently receiving medical attention for what looks like serious head injuries which are being sutured. It is understood that he will then have a brain scan to determine whether there is any brain damage.
As part of their damage control, it appears that the Mugabe regime is doing its level best to prevent the opposition from leaving the country. Yesterday, a number of high profile senior opposition members were prevented from leaving the country. They were heading for South Africa to receive medical treatment as a result of the beatings they received in police custardy a week ago. These included Arthur Mutambara, Grace Kwinjeh and Sekai Holland. In particular, Sekai Holland received the most severe beating which resulted in many broken bones and fractures. She was assaulted by 15 people, one of which used her body as a trampoline. In addition, they broke her foot and forced her to walk on it.
Over the past 7 years, many activists have been forced to seek medical attention in South African clinics. This is because of rapidly deteriorating health system in Zimbabwe. It is common knowledge, that many Zimbabwean clinics lack suck basics items as asprin and sterile bandages.
More updates will be issued as the day progresses.
