Kansas denies professional licenses over child support

Kansans who need licenses to practice their profession, and even those who just need them to hunt, could soon find those permits denied if they’re behind on their child support payments.

The Supreme Court just denied Greg Amunrud’s petition for writ of certiorari in No 06-1092
So perhaps the Kansas Legislature feels they have the green light.
But if a professional license is suspended where a parent is unable to pay the child support in the amounts demanded, how does suspending the professional license improve his ability to pay?
We can be forgiven for believing that everyone in our government, including the Supreme Court of the United States, has either gone stark raving mad or there is an agenda other than providing for our children and for a healthy society.
